Chemotherapy schedule okay?

I met my doctor today & he suggested 6 cycles of CAF every 21 days. I am 41 years old, TNBC, stage 2a, grade 2, all lymph nodes clear, margins clear. I had mastectomy on 15 June. My question is standard procedure for TNBC is 4 AC followed by 12 weekly taxol. Why is mine different??? Do i need to have radiation? Doctors please answer.

Different Medical Oncologists follow different protocols, all of which are equally good. In your case, the 6 CAF May be because your nodes were clear. If nodes are positive, Taxanes have benefit. We don’t have Medical Oncologists on this forum to answer you, but I feel your protocol is fine. 6 CAF or CEF is standard for all patients whose nodes are negative. From TNBC point of view I do not know the latest protocols. If you have lot of apprehension, you can take a second opinion.
