Hi i was hoping somebody could give some advice please.
This is the first time writing on here.
I've had two unsuccessful isci cycles this year 1st a chemical pregnancy & second cycle bfn.
This week I've had my follow up appointment. My consultant thinks my partner has antisperm antibodies from a vasectomy reversal 4 years ago.
His sperm was 120million 40% motility 1%morphology however our first ivf cycle his morphology was 3%
I'm confused though as they say antibodies can be washed off before isci. Also after our 1st cycle she said no problem with him as we have conceived before vasectomy. She said it would be something with me even though I responded well to drugs 14 eggs retrieved.
Does anybody have any advice? If we were to try again it would most definitely be a different clinic.
I have my partner on wellmans conception vits since March, for last two months he's been taking extra vitamin c 1000mg, coq10 (ubiquinol) 100mg but just changed to 200mg a day. I've also just be adviced adding an extra 50mg zinc a day.
Hey, sorry to hear about your failed cycles. My consultant recommended condensyl to improve sperm quality. You need to be on it for at least 4 months. Google it and see what u think. Good luck XX
Hi, I don’t have any advice for you I’m afraid but just wanted to say please don’t give up hope just yet. It could just be one of those things. After my first successful round I had a chemical and then a bfn and I got my BFP on the third try. No idea why the other 2 didn’t take but my consultant says that depending on age only around 40-60% of embryos are successful even though they get to blastocyst so you might just have had a couple of ones which just weren’t meant to be. After my second failed cycle I was questioning everything too. Hopefully your next cycle will be the one for you. Good luck!
Hiya, it could be worth getting the opinion of a different clinic to see if their thoughts echo the first clinic or if they have a different approach. Keep asking questions though.
My DH was advised to take fertilix (antioxidant supplements that may be similar to proxeed) and give up alcohol and see if that improves his count and morphology after 4mths. All the best xx
Hello there. I am sorry to hear about your failed cycles. My doctor prescribed me condensyl to improve sperm quality. Well, I don’t have any advice for you. But I must say don’t give up. Don't lose your hope. I can relate to you. I also had failed cycles. Fortunately, in my 3rd cycle, I got success. I Hope that your next cycle gives you what you want. Moreover, you can check videos on youtube. I have been through a video on youtube. It describes the recipe for a smoothie to enhance sperm quality. Wish you very good luck with your process.
Hi. It is good that you have brought up this topic. Infertility is an equal experience for both men and women. I wonder why no one talks about male infertility. They go through a hard phase as well. Glad you talked about it.
Hey there! I am glad that you chose to bring this topic in front of everyone. It is definitely a matter that has to be dealt with men and women both. Infertility could be an issue of a man or a woman. However, there is a higher possibility of a woman to have infertility. But it can also ben an issue in a man as well. Thus, it is important that it is spread in order to increase awareness.
Thank you for all your replies & advice. Sorry I'm late getting back I hit a really hard low time.
However I have some positive news after being told we have 2% chance to concieve naturally every cycle.
