Do I need an ablation?
i’ve been on the waiting list for an ablation and the appointment has finally come up however I am really having second thoughts about having this procedure as I’ve finally been feeling very well lately after three years of highly symptomatic long Covid. Also I’ve only had one episode of AF in the last

Headaches / update, also Spring Covid Vaccine update.
I was grateful for everyone’s’ replies to my recent post and I telephoned my Haematologist who advised a blood test and to see a doctor as soon as possible If I couldn’t see my GP the Haematologist said they’d fit me in at the hospital clinic. However, I had a full blood test that day at my G.P’s and

Tetanus
Not too far back there was a discussion about having a Tetanus shot, might help PD. I tried a search and came up with only one 2 year old post. No very Techy. Can someone help me find the link to that discussion? Thank you

Doxycycline long term use
Hi, I’m 11 months into my 15 month treatment for CLL. I’m on Ibrutinib with Venetoclax and it’s suited me well, and I’m really pleased that my bloods now appear to be normal. I’m also on Co-Trimoxazole antibiotic and Aciclovir antiviral to deal with any infections should they arise during my treatment

Tinnitus and Meniere's
Has anyone ever received Intratympanic steroid injection in their ear(s) for Tinnitus or Meniere's? I was just curious if it was worth it and made matters better. Is the injection painful or create other issues? My ENT has recommended it for my left ear which has a variety of issues. Thanks.

Reactions to COVID boosters
Hi, I've been getting the COVID boosters in the UK on a regular basis, but my reaction each time has gotten worse. With the one six months ago and the one last week, I was wiped out for 24 hours afterward, which hadn't happened with the previous boosters. The pharmacist last week was surprised at my

Finally a little light!
Many of you have been kind in giving me advice and support over the last year, especially when I was 'wading through treacle'. A few weeks ago I had another steroid injection and leflunomide added to my MTX. I hardly dare say this but I'm actually starting to feel better. My joints have gone down so

Upcoming hospital appointment
I was diagnosed with a 25mm AN last October. It totally came out of the blue. I'd been suffering from Long Covid for over a year and I started to have dizziness and body veer to the left when walking. I was also struggling with being in a room where multiple conversations were happening, as I couldn't

Influenza A
So I contracted Influenza A and was pretty ill for 4 days but still not so good despite 6 days on Tamiflu. Wondering if anyone has 1 had influenza and how it went 2 if my decision to take Tamiflu for 10 instead of 5 days is reasonable ( my docs have always doubled the time for antibiotics for bacterial

pneumonia vaccination
I have been told to get my pneumonia jab , i’m not worried about sore arm, but i’m just a bit concerned i might feel poorly after. I didn’t feel poorly after my flu jab or covid booster. Any reassurance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Covid vaccine
this morning I paid for a Covid vaccine £65. I was given the Novavax. Excellent service, not far to travel but annoying that I was not given it on the NHS as live with someone who is clinically extremely vulnerable.

PMR and covid vaccination
I’ve been asked to have a seasonal covid vaccination because of my weakened autoimmune system, due to PMR. There’s a lot online about covid vaccines and PMR, mainly about PMR onset after a vaccination. Does anyone know if there’s any evidence between a seasonal vaccination and worsening of PMR symptoms

do I need the spring Covid shot?
I have had 7 covid shots since the start of Covid. On October 10 of 2023 I received the Moderna bivalent booster, as well as the flu shot and RSV shot. I came down with Covid, for the second time, on March 20 of 2024. First time was April of 2022, I am doing fine now. My wife tells me she received

Awful repeated behaviours of hospital staff
Sadly once again I have had to go into hospital, Leighton Hospital in Crewe in England. I have lung damage caused by 3 severe bouts of Covid infections, two of which were caught within the hospital, the third from my husbands Carer. Although there are doctors at this hospital who have saved my life

Pes Anserine Bursitis - steroid injection offered.
On Thursday I had an appointment with a rheumatologist who had previously been quite impatient and dismissive of me. I made up my mind to give him the briefest details of my woes over the last 9 months. (This is a 6 monthly appointment 😂). He was happy for me to continue with my slow tapering and then
