4 years to a correct diagnosis of Perineal Prolapse.
After 4 years with my pelvic floor issue & a failed sacrocolpopexy surgery in 2022, I had to attend A&E in January 2024 in a lot of pain. In February 2024 I was finally gifted a MRI scan. A san they should of referred me for in 2020. A Urogyneocology appointment in March 2024 & it was explained to me

Started new thyroid medication Mon š”
Sorry everyone but this is going to be a rant.... As many members will know I stopped taking my thyroid medication on January 31st because the incompetent endo put me back on teva, which I certainly don't get on with (gastric side effects amongst other side effects) Through my surgeon in Liverpool for

Ignorance of some GPs...a cautionary tale...
Yesterday I went to my surgery to collect next lot of pred and was told I needed a dr's review. I have never been refused pred before in 8 years. I insisted on a Tel appointment and said it was Urgent. A Dr phoned me later and said "do you take pred for your chest?"....Pardon? I am a long time steroid

Thyroid nodules surgery survey (BTF)
Posting this because helping with research is often a good idea. However, there are only three days to go! I've only just noticed it and have not gone through what they are asking for. [i]

Bicuspid valve and hospital stay.
I have been experiencing breathing issues, palpatations drops on o2 to below 90. A month ago, I collapsed a couple of times and was experiencing dizziness.and bad cough. I went to walkin clinic at hospital. My heart was racing. The hospital thought I had a blood clot after blood tests. Ct came back negative

Shared care agreement, should I worry?
Hi all, Having completed a T4 & T3 trial with great successes, my NHS endo is soon due to approach my local GP for a shared care agreement to enable me to collect my prescription from the surgery. The surgery is in my home town, and it will be infinitely easier if this happens. Since, at the minute

Consultant experience
Hello everyone, I hope you're all well as can be. I've just been to see my specialist endo consultant 12 weeks after my laparoscopy in January (he also did one in 2021). I won't go into detail be the consultant lasted all but 2-3 minutes and my pain experience was passed off as being bowel and/or bladder

Spire Cambridge hospital, no icu
I recently found out most spire hospitals donāt have icu for after surgery, including the spire Cambridge hospital which I have a booked consultation at. Has anyone had surgery here or knows what happens if anything goes wrong after surgery?
