Shoulder blades in agony all the time

Hi I have Crohns aswell as other problems that caused me to have life saving surgery, had fibromyalgia for years ,my fibromyalgia has been up and down, but like us all you plod on . The last 6 -8 weeks on top of our normal pain I have shoulder blade pain. It feels like something is rotating drilling on both sides nothing seems to ease it. Now my toenails have fallen off too. Got a quick appt to see my pain and rheumatology specialist thankfully 25th of this month at hospital. Just wondering if anyone else has this it is 24 -7 nothing eases it.

Hello, glad you have an appointment on the 25th, one of my most nagging area s are my shoulders blades, not an area I can reach so husband put s deep heat on for me, in the evenings I use my hot water bottle, warmth seems too help , you’ve had a lot too contend with and yes your right we soidier on , take care x

Shoulder blades are my biggest area of pain, then it radiates up my neck and down my arms…I think I hold a lot of my stress there so that’s where I feel the pain first and the most

Hi sweetie Debbiedo2,I'm sorry ur in such pain 😢.

I experience it myself but I didn't go to the GP or mention it to anyone but my carer. Until I found this forum I had no one to compare Fibro with.

And I got sick of Drs saying it was in my head so stopped bringing it up.

I really hope you get a break from it or actual help to lesson the pain.

I've found using resistance bands helpful but not all the time.

Sorry for late reply - I see you mention Crohn's and major surgery and wondered if you were getting Vit B12 injections? Your absorption is likely to be poor and B12 is critically important. Best wishes

Thank you foryour reply ,since I am on 8 weekly injection 💉 for my Crohns disease they monitor bloods monthly. As far as I know B12 looks OK .Had a urgent MRI yesterday so hopefully will get some answers soon🙏
