confusing advice
At present I am on 9mgs
steroids
. I saw a rheumatologist two weeks ago and he told me on no account was I to increase the dose. My GP, who I saw yesterday, wants me to go up to 10mg as he considers I am having a flare. I have an ultrasound scan on Thursday and more blood tests Friday.

Upcoming restricted supply of prenisolone in the UK?
This comes as a big surprise to me as I've always believed
steroids
were as cheap as chips! It seems the NHS are not engaging with pharmacists to recognise the problem. Do you think anyone is fighting our corner on this?

In need of Reassurance
He had been doing really well up until November last year when he kept getting chest infections and was put on strong
steroids
to try and ease the strain on his heart and lungs. His GP then “prescribed” swimming for him to try and strengthen his lungs further.

Unsure what to do next as my previous transfer we threw everything at it - progesterone injections & pessaries, patches, blood thinning injections,
steroids
. And I got the positive pregnancy but when I went for a viability scan they said it was a PUL. Not an ectopic pregnancy.

I have severe asthma which bag at 40 yr old I’m now 62. I have lots of medications tablets and inhalers etc I’m currently awaiting further tests to check copd and possible suitability for biologics. The only thing that really helps well is steroid tablets which I have at big flare ups from time to time

stopping aspirin temporarily
hi. I’m suffering from really bad sciatica. The orthopaedic surgeon wants to give me a branch block steroid injection (whatever that is) but only if I can come off aspirin (75mg) for a few days. This is because he’s afraid I might bleed into the sciatic nerve, which could be disastrous. I’m seeing my

Bronchiectasis diagnosis.....really struggling :(
I have had no help from GP except to give me AB`s and
steroids
when I cant breathe . The Dr thinks I may have mild asthma too as I had Covid in Nov 21 and possibly Gerd as the coughing can be bad after eating.

Taking steroids at night….
Thanks to all of you that have made contact regarding taking
steroids
at night. Have tried a few nights but don’t think this is for me. Am back to daytime but am going to talk to the pharmacist to see if there is a better way of managing them with my other medications during the day.
