My doctor is concerned about the fat on these organs and put me on statins to help remove the fat from the liver and pancreas. He is concerned there could be far in the blood. I’ve been told to lose 10% of my body weight. Has anyone on here had both a fatty liver and pancreas.

Disadvantages are: sugar content is high so it’s not recommended for diabetics or anyone on statins. But there are supplements and extract. I know everyone should check with their doctor first, but do you think it would be worthwhile for PwP’s to give it a try?

Rhuemy is thinking about a calcium channel blocker but I have a history of reacting to excipients in meds (3thyroid and 4 statins). To date, I have continually tested negative for SLE.

Hi All Looking for answers for long standing muscle aches, which started during a short 12 week course of statins, which I stopped in April 17. However, despite stopping them all that time ago, the aches have not only NOT gone away, but seem to progress by the week.

I watched my diet and got it down to 6 something but doctors said I should go on statins. Was given Simvastatin and I had no side effects. One day the doctor changed me to Fluvastatin (apparently cheaper at the time) and the.'fun ' began.

I am 63 yrs old, 5 ft 8 ‘ish, about 145 pounds , reasonably fit High ldl, doc wanted me on statins, usual story Mainly lchf-light but not as lc nor hf as many .. Other health issues.. poor circulation (raynaulds?)

With being a type 1 diabetic, CAD and on statins and also having low energy levels I was thinking it would be a good idea, has anyone ever had any official professional opinions about supplements. I’m thinking for me it seems like a good idea. Thoughts? 😊

Last week my consultant rang me to say that he had decided to close my file as they can't do anymore except just to recommend keep talkng my beta blockers/statins and aspirin and has put me down as having "benign eptopic beats"............well, I suppose thats it then ! what can I do ?!

Hi all, I was on 100mcg of levo for quite some time and cholesterol level was 7 and pre-diabetic level was 47....ok was prescribed statins which I did not take.

Mum takes thyroxin, High BP meds but is not on statins although cholesterol isn't perfect. Thank you for any advice you can give.
