Update...
So far my mums had 4 weekly taxol she was to have her 5th one yesterday but are going to give her a week break as she has neuropathy in fingers and toes. They don’t wanna cause her to have long term damage so a week off will hopefully help. Her tumour markers have dropped again another 125 since last

Update and ideas!
I thought I’d update you on my Weekly Taxol treatment and ask for some ideas to shift a problem I have! This may be long, please bear with! I’m about to have my 9th treatment, which means I’m halfway through. Overall, this regime has suited me well, apart from a couple of emotional wobbles as I got

TAXOL COMPLETE
I did 3 rounds of Taxol chemo for a lymph node located in my lung area that was a reoccurrence of my cancer, I did a cut 3 weeks ago and no body from my cancer center has called me so I’m thrilled cause I called my dr office and I have no follow ups scheduled so it’s obvious I’m NED but I went to have

I referred myself back to an EP I had seen once previously as is hopeless trying to see someone on the NHS at

Mechanical heart valves and PAF
Hi everyone, Just curious if anyone has mechanical heart valves and PAF too. I’m a 41yo male who was diagnosed with PAF a few years ago. Currently I am having 3 to 4 episodes of AF a week lasting between 30mins to 5hours. I am seeing an EP who is helping me adjust to my new increased dose of Sotalol

Olaparib or not?
Good morning ladies, I am hoping someone will have some sage advice for me. I was diagnosed in October 2017 following what turned out to be a huge debulking operation for suspected bowel cancer. The primary site was probably the Fallopian tube- the following PET scan revealed that it was stage 4 as the

In AF again.
For the last 7 weeks or so I have had no AF and hardly any ectopics. Ectopics had been a particular problem in the evenings and I was convinced that there had been a real improvement. In fact I had somehow, very stupidly, persuaded myself that the AF could be controlled and avoided althogether. Woke

Good news!
My mum has had 2 rounds of weekly taxol so far and has a 3 weekly herceptin injection. She will have 12 weekly taxols. She has 4 small spots on her liver and had her first tumour marker blood results back on Tuesday and it’s already dropped 100 marks just after 1 treatment in 1 week! 😄

Sotalol
Well, today I went for an ECG to check that the 125mg twice daily dose of Sotolol, hasnt further widened the PR interval. I have first degree heart block and a combination of flecanide and bisoprolol had increased it although still within acceptable limits. Despite Sotolols apparent bad press, it seems

Chemo Resistance?
Resistant to Paclitaxel? I have been receiving weekly doses of this taxol and built up a resistance and am now also on Avastin that is administered every 3rd week. The difference in cost is incredible! Has anyone else been through this? I suppose it happens on the other chemo drugs as well. Just when

Weekly Taxol side effects pros and cons???
Hi lovelies, Im curious about weekly Taxol and it's side effects, unfortunately this looks like the only treatment available to my special person now due to not getting much better, there was talk about the possibility of a hospice but she's very against the idea as our local hospice is rubbish and she's

Xtandi, how long could it take to work?
My husband has taken Xtandi for three months now after becoming castrate resistant to Firmagon. His Psa with Xtandi went down from 37 to 31 the first month, then went up 2nd month to 54 because he stopped taking it for a few days because he couldn't manage side effects -rib pain- (he has mets in bones
