Exercise Motivation
Hi, I have been free of AF for the last 3 years after my second ablation and during that time I was able to exercise and felt energised and motivated. I lost weight, was going to the gym 3-4 times per week score and felt well. I still took Apixaban during this time. However my persistent AF returned

My e mail was hacked Suggestions for good e-mail programs?
About two weeks ago my e mail address was hacked and I can't get into my frontier.com e-mail account! Yahoo has taken over frontier but doesn't have some of the features I really appreciated. There doesn't seem to be a way to enter addresses and have them saved and easily accessed. A close friend

Here we go, pre op assessment concerns

I was given a package of 'stuff' to wash in,

Clear Cell Progression
Here is an update on my treatment for ovarian clear cell carcinoma, which I guess has now moved into Stage IV (started 1a). My taxol/carboplatin & Avastin chemotherapy treatment was discontinued after 3 infusions, as CT scan showed progression of tumors, and invasion into my liver. The doctors at UCSF

Sotalol side effects
Does anyone here on Sotalol have long term side effects.I have been on 40mg x 3 daily for the last 3 years. I never thought of this before until a friend told me she couldn't tolerate it and was changed to flecainide. I always loved my sleep but over the last few years I have not felt 'relaxed and tired

Bad weekend!
The last few days have taken alot out of me! Wednesday afternoon I slided to the bathroom floor and couldn't get up! I was weak and confused and my husband insisted on taking me to the closest ER, just a short ride away. My temperature was up, I had what was eventually diagnosed as pneumonia. My

AF versus SVT
On my first incident of very high pulse rate 8 years ago I was diagnosed with AF and perscribed Metaprolol. One year later I had another episode of high pulse rate and was diagnosed with SVT and perscribed Sotalol. No major episodes since then. Can anyone explain the difference between AF and SVT?

Different treatments
Hi I have been in Afib twice before over a ten year Span one of these occasions was also viral I think. Last February 2023 I woke up with a bad virus which I had all week and stupidly worked through. We also have a lot of family stress to deal with, feeling my heart was out of rhythm again this being

coming off sotalol
I had my ablation in September. Just had my follow-up appointment this afternoon and the Doctor, who did my ablation, said it went well, my ECG was ok and he said I should come off the Sotalol tablets. I have been on these for a lot of years, so am a bit worried about stopping them. I had to stop them

exciting clinical trial
My very long time (20 years!) MBC changed from E+ to triple negative a few months ago and yesterday I was looking on line for clinical trials for TNBC and found one that looks exciting to me, whether I qualify for it or not. It's sponsored by Lyell Immunopharma and targets CAR T cells. I have no idea
