Hi- I was diagnosed with primary peritoneal cancer in Jan 2024. I had my first chemo last week and reacted to the taxol (paclitaxel) so could only receive bev and carboplatin. I will be switched to taxotere for my next treatment. Wondering if anyone else has had a reaction to taxol and then received

Weekly Paclitaxol
Has anyone had success with with weekly taxol? I've got two stubborn cancerous pelvis lymph nodes. I'm deemed platinum refractory. Thanks.

With aggravated osteoporosis my partner has been offered the choice of monthly doses of Bonviva or a six monthly injection. Which would be most effective to mitigate the osteoporosis while remaining compatible with an AF/pacemaker regime that includes Amias, Sotalol, Furosemide, and Apixaban?.

Ablation - worries
Hi everyone. I am on the waiting list at Glenfield Hospital in the UK for an ablation I have paroxysmal AF diagnosed in 2020 and I take Sotalol 40mg x 3 a day and Apixaban 5mg x 2 a day. My episodes have been infrequent around every 4 months but more recently every 2 months, having said that the last

Ten years later….
Never quite sure whether this kind of post is cheering or just annoying, but, hey, it might cheer someone up and the rest can move swiftly on. In March 2014 I was diagnosed with 3a OC, with a CA125 of 3,900-ish and the BRCA1 gene. Had a total hysterectomy and weekly carbo/taxol on ICON8. Now I’m 77

Hello
I’m Sonya from NZ and I was diagnosed with Stage 3B Endometrioid Ovarian Cancer in Jan this year. I’m in my 40s. I’ve had full debulking surgery and have just finished my 6th (and final scheduled) round of carbo/taxol chemo. I’m BRCA negative. I’m keen to find out if any women here with the same subtype

Treatment plan questions
Dear ladies, I have received my final biopsy results. I am stage 3b as they found oc in omentum and small bowel mesentery. Quite shocking since they had staged me 1c based on CT and MRI. So now they propose 2 treatment approaches - 1 longer infusion of carbo/taxol every 21 days for 6 cycles or weekly

Doing well on Taxol. TM down by half!
I'm a long timer (20 years on 3/1/24, with bone mets since first diagnosis) and have done extremely well. Lobular bc, E + P + her2neu - at diagnosis. In 2023, it became triple negative and I was on Xeloda for a few months. It stopped working and I've been on Taxol for about 5 or 6 infusions. CA 27

First recurrence, which coctail to choose?
Dear Ladies, My worst nightmare came true. I had some indications on CT scan already in January, that something is cooking. In June CA125 was increased to 100 and another scan was done that confirmed more activity incl some new ascites in abdomen and 1,5 cm hyperdensity in liver. We were then a

AF Returns
Hi Short back story, I was diagnosed with AF in 2016, Ablation 2017, then AF returned in 2020 and second ablation in 2021. All good until September 2023 when AF re-appeared and had a successful cardioversion last month. During last night I went back into AF (I am generally always persistent). I have

Lowered CA125 and a nugget of hope 🙏
After 2 chemo sessions of carbo & taxol plus Avastin, my blood test level has reduced from 750 to 586 which is the first positive news I have received since diagnosis mid December 👏 it has given me a huge boost! My CT scan is Tuesday 20 Feb to see if my huge mass has shrunk enough for surgery, if so

Chemo question
Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer a couple days before last Christmas so I am early in my journey and feeling very scared and discouraged. Since my tumor is too large, I can’t have surgery yet. I had my first taxol/carboplatin treatment last week. I had an allergic reaction

coming off Sotalol
I had an ablation in September. I read the Drs letter they gave me when going home and it looks like they’ll be taking me off Sotalol. I had to stop this for 2 days before my ablation and it started my AFib off, so obviously I’m worried about stopping it again. I am on 80mg twice a day now. They reduced

Its Baaack!
Woke at 0430 and went to the loo. On the way, I noticed that I was slightly unsteady on my feet. Sometimes this happens for a few seconds on standing up but quickly passes; this time it continued. On getting back to bed the penny dropped; a quick Kardia confirmed that I was in AF. This is the first

cross road
At a crossroad! My liver biopsy last November came back that my cancer mutated from HER2 low to HER2+. I have started THP because of it. I saw my MO yesterday who told me that my molecular study is not showing the HER2. So I have 2 contradictory tests! She also said she presented my case to the

hair starting to fall out after 3rd Taxol infusion
How have you "shaved" your heads? My head started feeling tender a couple of days ago and yesterday I noticed more hair than usual stuck in my hairbrush. Do you just get it cut real short until it all falls out? Ism there something we can do for the sensitivity of our scalp? I never thought about
