The last few days have taken alot out of me! Wednesday afternoon I slided to the bathroom floor and couldn't get up! I was weak and confused and my husband insisted on taking me to the closest ER, just a short ride away. My temperature was up, I had what was eventually diagnosed as pneumonia. My balance was off and I kept getting confused about where I was. I was admitted and treated as an in-patient until yesterday afternoon. I'm weak, off-balance, easily confused and not my usual self. I have appts at the cancer center that I go to, about 50 miles away in a medium sized city and the hospital doctor was going to talk with my onc about waiting til next Tuesday for my next Taxol treatment as it could have a bad impact on the anti-biotics I'm on for the pneumonia. My port may have been damaged and hopefully that can be assessed, too. This is a shorter note than I usually write here, another sign of my weakness! But I wanted to up-date you..........

oh PJ…so sorry to hear about your troubles. Indeed, an infection like pneumonia can wreak havoc on a healthy body let alone someone who is already fighting cancer. Hope your recovery is quick and yiu can go on with your treatments. And if you haven't had your pneumonia vaccine you may consider that once you are better in the fall to prepare for the winter months. Best wishes!
God Bless and Best Wishes for a speedy recovery. I’m praying for you, my dear. 🩷🩷🩷🙏🏻

PJB, l am so so so sorry - being sick is bad enough but being confused, disoriented and falling is Horrible. Sending you healing energies, get well, sister.
Pneumonia can do a number on you. As you get fluids in your body and your electrolytes normalize you will start to feel better. I'm sure the antibiotics and breathing treatments will help out shortly. They will ensure your port is in working order and make sure there is no fluid in your lungs causing shortness of breath which you might not even realize you have. Praying for a speedy recovery for you!
so sorry to hear you are having a tough time , wishing you a speedy recovery. sending lots of love and hugs ❤️
I’m so sorry you are having to go through this. It sounds like you are getting good care and hopefully the antibiotics will take care of the pneumonia and disorientation. Thinking of you!

My goodness, you have been through so much. You can, and will, get through this. I'm sure many prayers are coming your way.
sorry to hear this PJB…will be thinking of you and hope you are feeling better soon!
So sorry to hearyour news. Hope you are feeling well soon. You take care. Keep posting.
So sorry PJB that you have to go through this. I had a similar episode but no confusion, just sob ,extreme fatigue and a productive cough. Pneumonia was ruled out by a C T scan and he diagnosed an Upper resp infection and gave me antibiotics. When I next saw my oncologist he said he thought I had probably had Covid, even though I have been vaccinated. I have never been so ill in my life but I am over it and doing good, prayers sent that, that will be you very soon.
PJB, wishing you a quick and total recovery from pneumonia. Also praying these other symptoms clear up and you can get back to feeling yourself soon. 🥰. You have had quite a battle.
Dear one----You and I know that you are ill today but that you will heal soon again to whatever is the norm for your continuing battle against the dragon cancer. I really hope that it is a quick and fairly painless turnaround. PRAYERS!
Dear PJB, I hope you start feeling better soon and that your balance improves. If you still have trouble with your balance after the pneumonia heals and you feel up to it, PT can work wonders on the balance. They use a table that you step onto and someone holds you the whole time with a belt. It’s hooked up to a computer and you have to control the table as it moves. You have a visual in front of you and you have to try and keep a mark within the target. It retrains your brain to retrieve your balance. It really did wonders for me. Feel better soon. I hope you get better really soon!
Oh that's pretty miserable I think it would be very wise to allow your body more time to recover before your next treatment. I hope the meds work well for you and allow you to heal quickly!
Lifting you up in prayer!
So sorry to hear that. I hope you feel better soon!
I’m late to the game here so just reading your post now. How are you doing now? Have you been able to bounce back?
PJB, Sending you prayers for a quick recovery.
