CA 125 rise in a Month but still in the normal range.
Well Hello... Just finished up my 16 weeks of Taxol and now before I can get two more rounds the insurance wants me to get a CT Scan before they will pay for anymore. Which fingers crossed am NED and then to maintenance with my Parp. On the flip side, last month my CA 125 was 11 and this month it is

Pondering my options....
Dear Ladies I just thought I give you an update on my thinking. I’m slowly coming to terms with things and starting to enjoy the research. As you know, my lovely oncologist, Steph has given me three suggested treatment options. Paclitaxel - via a Port (to be fitted) IV, 3 weeks on 1 week off. Epirubicin

My recent scan has shown progression in the liver!
Hello I’ve just got back from seeing my Oncologist. My recent CT scan has shown new mets in the liver and the existing mets have grown a little. All other mets are stable. Xeloda has been stopped. My Oncologist has suggested I should now go on taxol. However, she has also offered me two other options

6 Months Post Ablation
Hello everyone! Hope all of you are doing good. Have not been logging in here for quite a while as I have been busy with work after the ablation :) Like my husband told me ...You did not do the ablation just to return to work at full speed :) Reminds me to take it easy ... and to slow down. Just to update

Second opinion
I have returned from MD Anderson! The doctor say she wouldn’t give me IV Chemo until I tried all oral Chemo first, she would do exemtense first then taxol, but taxotere last. She also stated my liver is functioning just fine and there are more options if taxotere doesn’t work. I do have a lot of mixed

Waiting list for Ablation
Hi, can I ask for those who have had an Ablation, did you have general or local anaesthetic and if awake does it hurt? I’m in a waiting list and absolutely dreading it! My Bisoprolol is being changed as I have been on it for a year and a half now and when I’m into AF nothing is bringing it back into

Best way forward
I would really appreciate your thoughts on my best way forward. I recently had a two week episode of AF with an average heart rate of 120. I have had lengthy episodes like this 2 or 3 times previously. When I came out of it I became increasingly breathless and by the third day I wasn't able to do

Delighted to be still here after my sell buy date!!!!
Hi everyone. I haven't been on here for a while but I thought I'd just update you on my situation. In September my weekly Taxol chemo treatment was stopped as it was not working. I was told that I had about 6 months life expectancy. Despite an emergency hospital admission and subsequent palliative radiotherapy

Sotalol for Atrial Flutter
Hi everybody. I had my first appointment with an EP this week (telephone appt) and he has prescribed Sotalol to deal with recurrent Flutter episodes. These happen every couple of weeks with high HR up to 150 bpm come out of the blue and at rest with duration no more than a couple of hours generally.

Sotalol Started at Home
My daughter has had a-fib since she was 19. 1 ablation that failed after she got pregnant. Multiple meds and a cardioversion and she is in and out all the time. They started her on Sotalol 80mg 2x a day two days ago at home. I'm a retired nurse and have never heard of starting Sotalol at home. Today

Ascites
Hello ladies, has anyone had ascites build up whilst on chemo? Or does it mean my chemo has stopped working? I am on weekly taxol and have also noticed that my hair is growing back these last few weeks

Chemo experience
Hello everyone, I am getting braver by reading information on this site. I have seen that it is likely that I will have carboplatin and taxol. I am overwhelmed by the side effects and I am asthmatic, I see it can affect your breathing. What have everyone's experiences been? Should I be doing anything

CT scan results today
Hello Ladies, just to let you know the oncologist rang with my CT scan results today. The Taxol obviously stopped working a few weeks ago and the cancer is progressing slowly but surely. I don’t yet know the new dimensions of the tumours but the tumours in my liver have increased. I’m going back on

Latest update
Hi Ladies Meeting with consultant gave the news I was dreading. Weekly Taxol had not worked and the scan showed slow progression of cancer. No more chemo options but given Letrozole to try and slow things down. She is contacting another hospital to discuss any possible trial options. Still hoping! Hope

Platelets and raised markers
Hi Ladies I’m upset after my good scan a few weeks ago My platelets have dropped and I can’t take Xeloda On top of that my markers have suddenly risen so my oncologist suspects there’s progression in the bone marrow and wants to start me on Taxol once a week for three weeks and a week off till it fails

Sotalol red flag drug reactions
I’m on Sotalol, have been for a lot of years now. It was originally prescribed for SVT, but I’ve developed PAF since 2014, after a nasty coughing virus and the Drs are keeping me on it. I’ve been fine on it, but what worries me, is the huge amount of drugs that Sotalol reacts with and are red flag reactions

Newly diagnosed Afib. How long to wait for test results ? Covid ? Reassurance anybody ?
Hi I'm a 35 year old mother of 3 and on the 31st December had a terrible shock when I woke in the night to get a glass of water and out of nowhere just fainted on the kitchen floor. When I came round my heart was pounding out of my chest. I went to A&E after 4 hours of this and an ecg confirmed a fib
