I’m on Sotalol, have been for a lot of years now. It was originally prescribed for SVT, but I’ve developed PAF since 2014, after a nasty coughing virus and the Drs are keeping me on it. I’ve been fine on it, but what worries me, is the huge amount of drugs that Sotalol reacts with and are red flag reactions, as most seem to cause long QT. Has anyone had problems because of this.? You even have to be careful with some cold remedies.

Sotalol red flag drug reactions
Mike2015 posted on this a month age, you may find some help there.
I cannot find that.
If you enter Sotalol in the healthunlocked search box, it is the second thread in the list
Have done so thanks, it doesn’t really answer my query, just interested to see if anyone has had problems if they’ve been prescribed any drugs that reacted with Sotalol.
Hello sixtychick, I have taken sotalol since 2004 , cannot say I have had any bad reactions except I never ever take cold medication, only paracetamol, the most I have taken is half a sinutab for blocked sinuses, which I take rarely. However I am getting more breathless, Doctor ringing me on Tuesday to discuss this, was given salbutamol inhaler which is useless, apart from this I think all ok.
I say do whatever you can to get off all medications. They are poison!
