Has anyone on here moved abroad with MBC?
I am planning on moving to Europe (feel free to recommend) in 2023. I was diagnosed with de novo stage IV breast cancer in Aug 2013 at 42. 12 weeks of taxol straight in a row, all mets (lung, breast, liver) responded well. Hysterectomy Dec 2013, lumpectomy Dec 2014. Been NED for many years and am

3 month post ablation-update
Morning, Thankyou so much to you all for your advice. I got in touch with the arrhythmia nurses at Barts. I have now been advised that they are upping my sotalol dose , however thankfully after 6 days of afib my heart has gone back into NSR overnight. Prof Schilling has now said he will do another ablation

Peripheral Neuropathy
After 12 weekly infusions of Taxol, I had mild peripheral neuropathy. 6 months after that ended, I have some nails growing back and some still dying. Is this unusual? I also would like to share tips about dealing with it. For instances, I use an old plastic card instead of my fingernails for opening

Next steps on recurrence
Hello Ladies, I hope you are all feeling as well as you can be. Can I ask for a bit of advice? Diagnosed PPC Stage 3c Nov 19, finished first line chemo just Carboplatin (reaction to Taxol after 1 session) last May. Full debulking surgery in March, NED in June, as BRCA1 went straight onto Olaparib. CA

The next step
Hi Nice ladies, I have been on Taxol but because of side effects decided to try something else. The neuropathy seems to be increasing with this. Doc agrees, suggested other options; Eribulin, Tamoxifen or Gemzar. I am leaning toward Tamoxifen but need to think about it. If you have any input I welcome

Sotalol , different companies
This sounds bizarre but I started taking Sotalol Teva 80 mg two months ago and after an initial difficult week as my body got used to the drug felt very well . For my second months supply I went to a different chemist that gave me Sotalol Biogaran . I know they are exactly the same drug but I am now

RISE IN CA 125
Shell Shocked After 14 of 18 weekly Taxol I was told today that my CA 125, which had recently dropped from 110 to 11, has now risen from 11 to 24 during the last 3 weeks. I don’t have to tell most of you ladies what that feels like. The oncologist says it looks like the Taxol has stopped working. He

PVCs and roller-coaster Bisoprolol. Need advice, please
My daughter has 24% of PVCs but NO symptom, so she has to rely on Zio Path to check her PVCs burden. Sep 2019, Bisoprolol 2,5mg/day. PVCs went down to 12%. Nov 2019, they increased to 5mg/day hoping that it'd lower further number of PVCs. Unfortunately, it went up to 22% (!) Dec 2019, back to 2,5mg

Has anyone been seen at st bartholemews hospital in London and svt
I’ve just got off a call to my private EP and he’s suggested I go for a cryo ablation procedure at st bartholemews hospital in London. Has anyone been here and if so can you recommend one of their EPs? He also said due to my age (34) that it would highly likely that it would be SVT that’s causing my

Suddenly feeling faint
Am on sotalol 80mg twice a day. Have atrial fibrillation and ectopic beats but sometimes and without warning I suddenly come over very faint as if I'm going to pass out (very frightening) and then my heart goes like the clappers. Any suggestions please on what could be the cause?

Halfway thru Taxol Treatment woot woot...
Well Hello.... Just finished my 8th treatment of my weekly of 16 taxol, and not feeling that bad. As of now I get really tired on Sunday and an occasional bloody nose, will take that tradeoff because my CA 125 went down again to 11 from 17 three weeks ago. Still taking Avastin, which currently is bi-weekly

Caelyx experiences of it. Covid vaccine question too.
Hi, my Mum was diagnosed with OC May 2019, After Carbo taxol (which left her poorly and hospitalized a couple of times). Her CA125 levels have steadily risen, now 1400, she is down for Chemo again to hopefully get rid of some remaining cells, Caelyx (Liposomal Doxorubicin) is now the drug of choice.

CA125 Going the Wrong Way!
Hi Ladies Just two more weeks of Taxol to go. CA125 came down rapidly at first from 700 to 59, but unfortunately over the last four weeks it has begun to rise. Up by 4 three weeks ago, then 5 the following week. Had my week off then CA125 went up by 25. Realise that this is still quite low but hair

It’s going in the right direction
Had a telephone appointment with my consultant and she is pleased with the way my Taxol treatment is going. My CA125 has halved again going from 1164 in November to 663 in December and now 334. My scan doesn’t look much different but she not worried too much about that. I’m halfway through chemo so only

Unexpected Fast AF
I posted earlier about some AF which started this morning at 0130. I took various Kardia readings and discovered that the heart was beating at about 75-85 bpm for several hours. When I got up at about 0900, however, the reading shot up to 146 bpm, then, very surprisingly, 10 minutes later after taking

Sotalol
I am new here. , also new to AF I have so many questions as it has all been rather a shock . I will start with my main concern of the moment I had a cardioversion about six weeks ago and since then my heart has been in the correct rhythm . For the first month after the cardioversion I was on Xarelto

Sotalol
I have been prescribed 40mg Sotalol twice a day as a starter dose and now have been prescribed an increase to 80mg twice a day. I am concerned to discover that Sotalol is no longer recommended by NICE for rate control or rythmn control. I asked my GP for an explanation and his reply was rather vague

Out of options.
I've been been lurking and learning for quite some time. No need for a question until now. My lack of basic information is explained in my profile. I have been treated with Erleda, Taxotere, Zytega, and Jevtana to no avail. My MO finally decided to do a CT scan with contrast solution and lo and behold
