Debulking op cancelled, no date fixed for when I can have it, feeling anxious
Hi, I have had 6 chemos, 3 carbo and then 3 carbo plus taxol (am now into the 6th week after the last one). I was due to have my debulking op this Tuesday just gone. I was phoned on Monday afternoon by an appointments clerk who told me it was cancelled due to staff sickness, and that I would probably

Ablation
Hi I’ve now had 4 Ablations 1 was terminated due to a haemorrhage. Following a telephone consultation with my EP he has offered me another Ablation but wants me in Arterial flutter so can map effectively, his concerns are that last time whilst mapping he touched something ( his words) and my heart return

From Flecainide and Sotalol to Metoprolol
I have switched from the “plumber” to the “electrician”. He took me off from Flecainide and Sotalol and put me on Metoprolol (25 mg twice a day) and keep having Digoxin through. My energy has improved a bit and, in general, feel much better… I didn’t have the Ablation indicated by my previous cardiologist

Drinking and AF
I was diagnosed with persistent/permanent AF back in June, I had a cardioversion that worked well for 6 days, I'm on the list to have an ablation but the wait is 9 to 12 months here.... I like to have a drink now and again, nothing over the top maybe 3-4 pints a week... I have read that it is best not

Radiation
I had a hysterectomy in June removing 20cm tumor Grade 3 and other organs. This has been followed by chemotherapy, and I today finished 4th cycle out of 6 of carboplatin / taxol. CA-25 has gradually dropped to 18 from high in the 400s. Intermittent scans were vague saying images could be cancer or

Keeping AF at bay
In my upper 70's have had Mitral valve repair and 2 cardioversions plus pacemaker;on maximum doses of sotalol, amias, furosemide; in general holding Afib at bay but occasional relapses with pulse rate in 120's. Episodes occur about once a month without any apparent associated reasons. Episodes last about

Has any sustained vtach/cardiac arrest survivor successful at getting off meds?
About 1 month ago, I found your forum. That put an end to my afib episodes getting more frequent. I got the book the Afib cure. I changed my diet, I not only sleep better, my frequent trips to the bathroom (following colon cancer 8 years ago,) stopped! I am 57 years old, very active with a 40 resting

Amiodarone
I have been, for more than 2 yeas, on Flecainide (150 mg), Sotalol (80 mg) and Digoxin (187.5 mg) and had 3 cardioversions, the last one didn't work. My AF was on and off since then, and my energy deteriorated by the day. I didn't opt for and Ablation, as suggested by my Car since I'm 83 and as I heard

Arrhythmia advice/support?
Hi - I’m fairly new here. I feel in the minority sometimes with the way that my arrhythmia episodes present, so I’m reaching out for some support or advice and to see if anyone else experiences similar to me. My Cardiologist has indeed described me as an anomaly! Apparently I have some scarring on

My PAF episodes have suddenly changed in duration.
Two weeks ago I got Norovirus, and the vomiting was a story in itself. At the same time it triggered my AFIB, blood pressure plummeted and I was very fatigued, dizzy and unable to do much. These episodes usually happen about every 3 months and have always lasted 3 days. This time it is 2 weeks now
