Seems to be going well at last !

I was just 'looking back'..........4 years since I noticed some paroxymal AF.

3 and a half years since it went persistent constantly (90-130 bpm) and I finally got it diagnosed.

3 years since a failed cardioversion.

2 years since an abandoned sedated PV cryo ablation, as I went into asystole (flat lined) twice, (apparently not easy to manage if the patient is just sedated !)

1 and a half years since a RF PV ablation under GA which worked for a month until I dropped into constant flutter.

Now 1 year since a sedated flutter ablation.........and............perfect sinus rhythm since then .

Now off the variety of bisoprolol, sotalol and amiodarone that they tried me on over the 4 years.

I got a 'Kardia' 'single lead' monitor back in 2019........it's been very useful and saved many trips to hospital for ecg monitoring. (UK NHS)

Just left with the edoxaban, now as a 'precaution', due my age; 70.

Back at work too !

Thanks for sharing. As someone about to go for 2nd RF ablation it's good to read that 'have another go' is worth the effort.

Well, what a story to tell your grandchildren if you have any! And like all good stories, it has a happy ending.

Aren't you lucky?! We have just the one grandson, Thomas. He's soon to be four and, well - he's such a delight!

I'm really pleased the team were able to revive me during that 1st aborted ablation ! It apparently took a little while to get my blood pressure back.
