Hello, So I originally went to the doctors because I hadn't been feeling myself in a good 6 months. I cried constantly, lacked concentration and felt constantly tired although I have suffered with tiredness for a good 4 years, always feel run down and coldsores at least once a month. Contraception and pregnancy symptoms...
I've got contraception which is the implanon (bar) I had my last known period at the end of July (I had 2 periods that month, none Since) I've had sore nipples, weird feelings in my lower abdomen, been bloated, tired and moody. I'm hoping that I'm not pregnant and there is some explanation as to why

Bleeding issues with the contraceptive implant
Hi Katie. Unpredictable bleeding is the most common side effect of the contraceptive implant. This can vary from no bleeding, light occasional bleeding, regular bleeding, irregular bleeding and nuisance prolonged bleeding. So what you have been experiencing is normal. Assuming you haven't had it for

Early stages of diagnosis (hopefully)
Hello everyone :) I'm new here, I've been reading a lot of posts over recent weeks and I have to say it has been such a comfort- you wouldn't believe. I'm in the very early stages of diagnosis after suffering many symptoms for years, but just taking them as me being unlucky and not talking about it to

B12 deficiency, Pernicious Anaemia and a Slipped Disc.
I was diagnosed with anaemia when I was 13, I had to take iron tablets and eventually stopped taking them because I was unreliable (and just to add, I had the contraceptive implant put in at this time)...but years later when I turned 18 I was told I had to have B12 injections for the rest of my life,

Bacterial meningitis: deafness and ossification of cochlea?
Just wondering if there is anybody else reading this who had pneumococcal bacterial meningitis that left them deaf? If so, did you get a cochlear implant? Both ears or one ear? Any ossification of your cochleas? I had BM 16 mos ago and was in a coma for just 2 days, but woke up deaf. I had a cochlear

Expired implanon, am I pregnant?
My implanon has been expired since February of this year. In the last 2 years my periods had stopped completely on it which I heard can be common but even though it has expired they still have not returned. I had unprotected sex early this month but my partner withdrew long before ejaculating. I took

I couldn't put up with the pain and bleeding for any longer so after reading every page and forum and started

I'm new here and I'm concerned about Continuous Bleeding.
Hi, I'm 42 and have a contraceptive implant. My periods have always been irregular but now I'm finding that the bleeding I get is lasting 2/3 weeks. I think it's finished as the colouring becomes the reddish brown but then by the morning it feels like I'm "flooding" again and it's fresh red blood! my
