Hi Katie. Unpredictable bleeding is the most common side effect of the contraceptive implant. This can vary from no bleeding, light occasional bleeding, regular bleeding, irregular bleeding and nuisance prolonged bleeding. So what you have been experiencing is normal. Assuming you haven't had it for longer than 3 years there's no concern that no periods could mean a pregnancy as this is the most reliable female contraceptive method
