I had been feeling out of breath really fatigued and light headed and it was put down to the treatment I had. The last few months it had been getting

Update
I previously posted about my Bisoprolol being increased to help breathlessness when in fact it made it worse. Two weeks ago I went to the surgery for a blood test. Got half way across the car park and suddenly couldn't get any breath. This got worse and worse so the Drs called an ambulance and I was

I am currently on Losartan,
Spironolactone
,
Furosemide
and Rivaroxaban. I was on Digoxin which I tolerated well as I can't take bisoprolol. I have researched it and wonder if anyone has suffered the side affects. Just interested as sometimes I do wonder 'why' this or that particular drug.

Furosemide not working
Hi I have nephrotic syndrome which includes what feels to me to be a bad case of œdema. My weight has gone up by about 3 stone in the last two months, which means there's more than 15 litres of excess water inside me, which is uncomfortable and rather painful, especially in my legs. My consultant has

Could it be the COPD, or my Heart
Hi Folks, I am a 73 yr old male. I have had copd for about 3 years, but the past 2/3 months its been really bad, and just standing up or body movements, can make me breathless. I have been in hospital a few times with low oxygen saturation, and have a finger monitor to keep an eye on it, which ranges

Reply to Q 'Do I have asthma & not know it?'
I know exactly the feeling in my respiratory tract and scenario you describe. I had to see a Locum GP and he changed my life. He prescribed Furosemide, sold under the brand name Lasix. My Cardiologist said it's not necessarily because I have heart failure. I think the respiratory tract is in a constant

Metal v Prosthetic valve replacement
Put on Bisoprolol,
spironolactone
,
furosemide
, and had an ICD put in last year. I've been told I'll need a pulmonary valve replacement. My question is, if I get the option, metal or prosthetic at this stage? Metal = one surgery, but drugs for rest of life.

Hi, I am an old time poster
Hi, I was a member of the dilated cardiomyopathy forum at BHF. I signed up there 10 years ago when my mother was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy and left bundle branch block. There used to be a thread called "how long?". I wanted to post this there, but here I am. So, my 65 year old mother suddenly
