This is me. I have permanent nerve damage on the majority of my left side from shoulder to hand to hip to shin. I have every excuse to wallow in self pity and take out my frustrations on the world and people around me...and I have, believe me. 2 Lower back fusion surgeries 5 days apart in '16 and a week

frustrated with restriction of naproxen
After an unsuccessful spinal fusion surgery in 2001(and 2 more since) Iāve been taking naproxen for about 15 years and get that together with a long list of other pain meds every 3 months,Iāve now been told I can only have 2 month supply of naproxen at a time which is messing up my repeat meds routine

I was told about this a few days ago by the APP (Advanced Physio Practitioner) at my GP surgery, (It may well be already on Lupus UK somewhere). Yes, neuropathic pain was explained to me a long time ago plus I learned all about how pain is transmitted to the brain during Human Biology lessons approx

Spinal Cord Stimulator
I am waiting to begin a trial for the Spinal Cord Stimulator. The doctor will put an external wire going up my spinal cord and have a battery pack on my back for a few days. The Stimulator is supposed to stop the lumbar pain from reaching the brain. If it works, the doctor will install an internal stimulator

Upper back pain
Hi. I was seeing a PT for lower lumbar issues and she suggested I get a neck xray after noticing I had symptoms she attributed to cervical issues. The xray showed disc degeneration and bone spurs at c5/c6. My symptoms are little shock burn like feelings in my upper back and tingling prickly pain in my

Failed Back Surgery
In 2017 I had a Laminectomy for Severe Spinal Stenosis in L3/4/5. The operation was successful and for 3/4 months I was completely pain free for the first time in years! In 2018 I had a bad fall and this resulted in having a Rotator Cuff Repair which was successful but by now my spinal pain was back

Spinal Cord Stimulater
I have a condition called Sensory Ganglionopathy and suffer severe nerve pain throughout my body 24/7. I am currently on Fentanyl patches which help a little and recently had two courses of Lidocaine infusions neither of which helped. I am considering discussing a spinal cord stimulator with my pain

Post spine fusion pain management
Hi all 13 years ago I was diagnosed with degenerative discs, facet joint disease causing immense low back and sciatic pain. I went for a disc decompression and waited for it to heal, unfortunately pain increased so I went back to the consultant, we took another MRI and to his surprise he could no longer

Spinal cord stimulation
I live in Ireland and saw a pain specialist as I have run out of options to treat my chronic refractory migraines. He is going to implant a spinal cord stimulation as he said it should me a lot and give me a better quality of life. He is the best pain doctor in Ireland and I had to wait 6 months to see

Seroma advice
Hi, I had spinal surgery last September, I was rushed back in hospital 2 weeks later with a back infection. They flushed me out with antibiotics and put 42 stitches in my back. After that I had lot's of e.coli infections until December. Since then I've had 2 MRI scans with contrast and a CT scan.
