Sounds normal. It takes three to six months for full recovery so early days yet.
Hi, Its quite normal. I had ablation feb 2016 and it took a full 6 months to calm down... Im going to have another ablation this year but only get AF every few months. The EP said the first one did a good job but they are a little cautious not to over do the first procedure.. Also paths can heal and cause another " misfire".. certainly 3 months is still early days
6 months Post Ablation. It is a waiting game waiting for your heart to recover. This too shall pass, now would be good. :^)
Here is my problem in US. I had a cryoablation last year in September for paroxysmal afib of vagal character. I didn’t have any problems after it for several months. At the end of March this year I came from an excellent trip to South Africa and started to have some problems with afib. This is what happened. At end of my trip in Cape Town I got a light diarrhea and took just one pill of Imodium. Next day I felt I am getting afib so I took Flecainide. After coming home I was getting more afib events always later in the afternoon, or the in the evening, mostly around 5:00 PM when I ate a very light supper. I noticed I am getting palpitations at night too, but never in the morning or at noon after eating breakfast or a light lunch. I had to increased flecainide to stop it. I always was getting advice through my EP. Suddenly I noticed that flecainide doesn’t help. I ended up in ER and it was discovered that I have an atypical flutter and EP suggested stopping Flecainide because the flutter could have been induced by Flecainide and taking again flecainide could make it worse. I am just wondering if the Imodium played a role or is it possible to get an atypical flutter after eating and flutter could be characterized as vagal. I am still getting an atypical flutter after meals late in the afternoon or evening and there is no medication to turn it around. The doctor suggested a touch up ( ablation) or Tykosin. Sad story.
