I went to my GP with palpitations and fainting when I was in my 20s (I am now in my 40s) but my ecg didn't show anything abnormal. I was started on atenolol. Coincidentally I had an echo done for something else and was diagnosed with asymetrical septal hypertrophy. Last year I was switched to Bisoprolol. After being admitted with chest pain I was given a stress echo and it showed I was misdiagnosed- I just had a extra heart chord next to my septum which on the old scans couldn't be distinguished from the septum.
Next I was put on a holter monitor for 7 days and when I asked for the results was told I had several episodes of SVT and would be given an appointment to discuss.
That was a month ago and I still haven't had an appointment through. Can anyone tell me what to expect regarding the appointment and treatment please?
Thanks,
Jacey
