Hi all, it’s been a while. Feeling a bit, ok, lot down today as my AF has really progressed. Diagnosed 4 years ago I’ve had more AF attacks than hot dinners. Again I must thank every one for their support on here. You’ve been amazing. Anyway from last Christmas to August 2018 I didn’t have a single

This is why you should take anti coagulation. dont stand on a needle.
For those thinking I do not want anticoagulation here is a tale about a needle. I was due to go on our winter trip south on 29th October. Last thurs I stood on a needle that broke off in my foot. Cant operate whilst on anti coagulates(edoxaban) so stop for 48 hours . 36 hours in I have a TIA . A little

Random tachycardia
I am 9 months post 2nd ablation. Things have been going OK, just the odd episode of AF which has responded well to PIP Flecainide. For the last 3 days I have had either tachycardia (100-120 BPM) with or without AF for the last 12 hours it has just been the tachycardia. Any suggestion on how I can return

Should I be concerned?
Hello all... I am new to this whole liver issue. Roughly 10 years ago my ALT and AST were slightly elevated so we began keeping check on it and had an ultrasound. The size increased from 15 to 20 (cm? maybe) in like 4 years. Due to insurance change I got a new GP and she never seemed to concerned so

What dose of Flecainide were others given for chemical cardioversion?
I have just had a big weekend in hospital for treatment of my second bout of AF. First one was 2 years ago and had cardioversion. I have had funny beats now and then but no AF until Saturday night. My cardiologist had advised me to present to A and E for pill in pocket trial when I next got AF so that

For all of you who wanted to see me the day I got married.
Fellow sufferers, Of course under my dress my legs are wide apart and you can’t see my pillow that I’m sitting on that I decorated for this day. If you all want to know what I’m reading my husband and I wrote each other love letters to read before we got married. As most of you know my nerve block

First time I have started a post
I was diagnosed with PAF about 7 years ago. I am taking Rivoraxaban, Bisoprolol 2.5mg twice a day and Felodipine 5mg. In the main I am managing my AF reasonably well. I have been offered an ablation, but refused on the basis that I don’t think that I am symptomatic enough for such a drastic procedure

?? Back in AFib
Had a stressful week. Been in sinus rhythm since ablation in May. Been told to stop my medication. This week I have been told I have breast cancer. Awaiting my treatment plan. I’m not sleeping too well and this morning my heart rate has gone up. Not sure if it’s just a tachycardia episode or AFib. I

Progress Report
Its been just over 2 months since my ablation with Dr. Natale in Austin. I must say its been an interesting 2 months and not without its ups and downs. I cant remember if I posted along the way but I had to have a cardioversion early on. Following my ablation in July I started back on Ticosyn which

I think I have Peripheral Neuropathy ...
I'm 26 and new month (DD is now 16months) I've had bas sciatica since the age of 19 but the issue was seemingly fixed by surgery almost 6 years ago. However since having my daughter i have had the worst pains in my leg and foot. I'd rather give birth again than go through this. The skin burns to touch

Using Botox but occasional big migraine break outs
Hi Ive been using Botox for two years now every 3 months. I had slow steady improvement. The last Six months were exceptional with only 1-5 migraines or so. Then, a solid 5 weeks of migraines straight. Had to go get a steroid injection occipital nerve block injection to try and stop it. Does anyone

Hello fellow sufferers. Update on amniotic shot.
So, here it is guys. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but my shot seems to have lasted only 3 months. My pain is back. I did go for another nerve block on the 28th without steroids just anesthetic which I get every 2 weeks because I just got married on Saturday and was hoping the block would at least

St Thomas’ appointment today
Well a bit of a stressful journey there! Good news. I’m in sinus rhythm. I can stop Flecainide and start to decrease Bisoprolol. They hope this will sort out the breathlessness. Also a chest physician referral. They’ll see me again in 3 months.

Hawthorn and Apixaban?
A while ago I read with interest the alleged benefit to the heart that the herb Hawthorn provided, especialy for AF sufferers. I've also recently read that it's quite liberally dispensed in Germany. However, I chose not to take it because it was recommended not to take it if you are on beta blockers,
