have had two bouts of right vent fib. Had Widow maker heart attack 13 yrs ago. Now am 70. Took Drramine and had an episode. controlled with lidocaine drip. Second one 45 days later was heart rate 139 This was after getting flu and taking Tamiflu. Side effect Tachycardia. Had Defib implant 8 yrs ago. Never went off. No dr. wants to put in three lead pace maker. Went off amiodarone and swelling in legs and feet stopped. Also had swelling in throat and tongue. Do pace makers help stop Afib/vent tachycardia? Anyone ever had pace make to fix problem? ty have a blessed day.

I suggest you repost with the heading 'Advice on pacemaker for AF/tachycardia' and you might get some replies. Also search for 'pacemaker' on HU and some useful info might come up.
