Follow up after 3rd failed cycle
Just had our follow up apt after another failed icsi cycle. I’m not sure how to feel after it though. It turns out that egg quality was very good (just not many of them this time). AMH good and even my husband’s sperm count and quality was ‘normal’ which surprised us both, seeing as that was the reason

Long protocol or short protocol IVF? Please help!
Hi all, I'm very new to the forum and have only just started my IVF journey. My husband and I are both 26, we were trying for a year and then found out I had PCOS and he has a very low count. Since December I've lost 18lbs and brought my hormones into the normal ranges but I still have cysts on my ovaries

My egg vs. Donor?
We’ve been offered a 2nd cycle of ICSI on the NHS at no cost. As many of you know, during our 1st cycle there were communication difficulties in the lab resulting in IVF being conducted instead of ICSI. We are delighted that we have been given another chance. Now the delimma of using my egg or finding

Anybody used the Yorkshire Fertility clinic?
I've just joined the board and am hoping to find some local Yorkshire ladies who can tell me their experience with the Yorkshire Fertility clinic? Little bit of background. My husband and I are both 26, my hormone tests came back in the normal range but my scan showed polycystic ovarian syndrome. My

Im so confused
Hi guys I have started my ICSI cycle and have been injecting for 7 days, today I had a scan that only showed 5 follicles - I had 15 eggs last time I just don’t know what to think ! I definitely don’t know what’s going on inside my body. I’m going back for another scan on Friday and egg collection

Hi guys - am new here - my IVF journey so far...
Hi guys, thought I'd post about my journey so far. Just finished our first fresh icsi cycle which ended with a bfn. I was so stressed throughout the whole cycle and totally underestimated how hard it was going to be both physically and mentally! Some days I couldn't even walk properly due to the progesterone

Donor Babies
I’m in floods of tears writing this after an argument with my Mum and Husband. I might be a little hormonal and sensitive being 35 pregnant with sperm donor twins. We have a 4 year old son born from ICSI after a successful sperm retrieval operation over 5 years ago, we weren’t so lucky when we tried

OH nearly 6 months smoke free 😁
Our next appointment is end of July where (fingers crossed) we get our referral for a NHS funded ICSI cycle. Hubby will be 6 months smoke free by then 🤗. I'm feeling so much stronger and positive having followed lots of your journeys on here. It's been a huge help 😘

Update on IVF & ICSI mix up
Firstly, thank you to everyone that has shown their support. Indeed, an error has been made & ICSI should have been done on Monday and not IVF. I will write a letter and provide the necessary evidence. Will let you know the outcome once I know but I will be pushing for a 2nd cycle on the NHS. The egg

The dreaded 2ww...any success stories?
Hi ladies.... So, is anyone else on the dreaded 2ww? I’m 5dp5dt so a week to go yet! I had 14 follicles, with 12 eggs. 8 we’re fertilised by ICSI as 5 progressed over night. However only 1 made it to the end and we had none to freeze so just the 1 blastocyst put back. Already that makes me nervous

Dentist.
Hi all I’m currently at the stim stage of my icsi cycle and I’ve just possibly dislodge a filling. Is it safe to have dental treatment - I’m likely going for egg collection and transfer next week and the earliest appointment I can get is after next week for the dentist. Also do I need to tell them I’

Experiences of intralipid infusions as part of IVF
What are people’s experiences of Intralipid infusions as part of IVF treatment? Good/bad/indifferent? We’re just starting (hopefully lucky) round 3 of ICSI and this time i’m having Intralipid infusions after some recent tests showed I have auto-immune markers & high levels of some natural killer cells

No fertilisation
Unfortunately, my one egg failed to fertilise over night. It was difficult to hear those words this morning and we are coping with it in our own way. We are taking tomorrow off to take stock and evaluate. This was our only NHS cycle. It also appears there was a mix up in the lab. They did IVF instead

Hi everyone After my first round of icsi failed last month am scheduled to do a fet round in July. The clinic has asked me to call them with my July period which is due 1st of July but my period have been known to come a day or 2 early so if I call them before July and explain it’s arrived early

ICSI fertilisation failure
Hello, I've just gone through my first IVF cycle. Of the four eggs collected yesterday, only one was mature. I received devastating news this morning that the egg didn't fertilise in the ICSI process. The clinic wasn't sure why, and I've read online that it's really rare for eggs not to fertilise in
