Doctor refuses to give me VItamin B12 injections
I’ve had crohns for a long time and in 1996 I had and ileostomy and then a further two small bowel resections For the last 17 years I’ve had B12 injections every three months. I moved 180 miles away from my surgery where I used to go. I now have a doctor who refuses my B12 injection saying I don’t need

Hello lovely ladies. I hope you are all managing the social distancing and self isolating okay - like we need the extra challenge! I’m 9 months post op, completed first line chemo and now having Avastin until September. I still have a small lesion on my liver but I’m hoping Avastin will keep it at

My journey to date.
I was diagnosed with OC in july 2018. My ca125 was 6800. After 3 rounds of carbo/paxl I had debulking surgery & a total colon removal in Nov 2018. I received 3 further rounds of just carbo after ,,due to severe nerve damage to fingers with paxl. If I was to continue it would have affected my ability

Not sure what to do anymore
5 years ago I had serious life changing surgical complications. Totally compromised my life, long story. There is little chance of repairing the damage to my bowel - I have 3 stoma bags. The psychological effect has been awful. I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD following nearly dying at the hospital

Stoma? I’d advise you to wear abdominal support garments from the get go.
Hi all, Back in June 2019 I came out of surgery with a stoma, which I was not expecting. I was very careful to listen to and take the advice about abdominal surgery; no heavy lifting or even lifting a kettle half full etc. About a month and a half ago I noticed my abdomen was sticking out more than

How common is post-operative delirium?

Never give up hope
A couple of years ago we as parents were devastated. We never knew the devastation endometriosis could cause. Albeit our daughter developed a 6cm endo tumour on her bowel and test for diagnosis perforated her bowel making matters worse causing sepsis. She was told by the surgeons they had never seen

Have all the symptoms of IBS but is it something else?
I have had what I would call a successful ileostomy since 1968 which cured 4 years of misery with ulcerative colitis. I could eat everything, just not ridiculous amounts of hard to-digest-fruits and veggies which have cause several painful blockages over the years (scar tissue or gluttony?) At ER I
