Interpretation of Cortisol 24 hour Urine test & Cortisol Serum test
Hi everyone, I switched to T3 only 4 months ago & am currently on a total of 100mcg T3 (taken in 3 split doses). Many of my symptoms have resolved & my temperature has raised but it is still slightly low & I still have a few lingering symptoms. My T3 levels came back at 4.11pg/mL (1.5 - 4.0) so I think

Dreadful treatment for Low Adrenal Reserve
Hi. I'm new here. I'm also finding treatment for LAR/adrenal fatigue very confusing. My background is, I have had inflammatory bowel disease for 36 years, which was managed reasonably by immune suppressants. I also developed 2 damaged discs in my lower back in 2010. I was living in Spain at the time

Is it ok to take adrenal cortex extract together with T3?
Hi everyone, wishing u all good health & happiness for 2018! I'm on T3 only for Hashimoto's & wondered if it's ok to take ACE together with my thyroid meds & would love to hear other peoples' experiences with this combo. Thanks : ))

FORTEO for bone fractures
I’m giving myself daily injections of FORTEO since nov 06,17. Also, I have PMR/GCA. I never show lab results supporting my diagnoses; however the biopsy was positive for GCA and I have monthly infusions of actemra to prevent blindness and to allow me to get off prednisone. 7 mg now on slow taper.

HOW MANY SYMPTOMS DO I NEED FOR DIAGNOSIS??
Hi all, I am yet to be diagnosed but feel totally confused and upset with the length of time it is taking and how slow the consultant is in dealing with me. I had been feeling poorly for about 6 months, exhausted but had difficulty sleeping, flu like symptoms but kept dragging myself to work and trying

ANA used to be 1:1320 but is now negative. Thoughts?
Hi. I'm new here. Hope that explains the slightly long intro :). In 2014, my ANA was ~1:1320. I was diagnosed with ITP and SLE; I was in the ER 3 times and was found on at least four occasions to have severely low platelets (2-6 range). I was initially treated with prednisone, and, since it proved to

New here-going to MS clinic this week
My Qs: anyone here diagnosed with normal lumbar puncture? Or misdiagnosed with migraine before MS diagnosis? This seems like a lovely community. I'm just going to jump in as I have my first MS clinic appt this week. I have seen two neurologists that say my mri lesions are migraine but my GP said no way

Sleep aid
I tried Ashwagandha and 3 mg time release melatonin taking Ashwagandha 400 mg at 8 pm (I take Azilect 1 mg 8 am) and melatonin at 10 pm. Instead of sleeping through TV I felt social and talkative not a bit anxious and sleep was restful and restorative. But next day found that after taking 5 mg Isradapine

How much adrenal cortex is there in whole adrenal...?
Does anyone have any idea how much adrenal cortex whole adrenal approximately contains? I have been on 250 mg of adrenal cortex extract for the past year, after weaning off Medrol for adrenal fatigue, and have felt wonderful on it. But I have just started taking a supplement containing, among other things

Treatment of Systemic Onset JIA with Actemra (Tocilizumab)
My 2 year old Son was diagnosed with Systemic onset JIA on in June 2017. Though the symptoms started few days before diagnosis, pediatric rheumatologist started treatment of SoJIA after ruling out septic arthritis. NSAID - 2 weeks Predinsolone - 4 weeks ( 2mg/kg/day) - Now in tapering

Changed meds and reduced dosage Not sure where I stand
Was originally on Metoprolol 50mg twice per day. Had SERIOUS depression side effects so we changed to Carvedilol 12.5 mg 2x/day. Over time the dizziness, fatigue and breathlessness climbing stairs got worse and worse. Looked at the COREG 24 hr 12.5mg But it is still on patent and costs $300 per month

Ablations and cardioversions and internal defibrillator
I had my third ablation the end of May. It seems to be a failure as I went into afib about 2 days after the ablation. I had a cardioversion the end of July, put me in sinus rhythm for only 2 days. I had another cardioversion one week ago and was in NSR until last night. I am taking Coreg and propafanone

Hello Everyone! I had been diagnosed with RRMS in 2009. Found out this past Thurs. it was wrong, actually PPMS. All these years of unnecessary DMT's, awful side effects and far too many infusions of Solumedrol. Be brave, power forward and as patients NEVER stop questioning your healthcare providers!

Update on Hostile Rheumatology Appointment: I Finally Have Treatment 😀😀. And Update on Punctal Plugs.
Hi All. In Janurary I posted my first post here - quite upset - and not a little angry - because I'd just had a consultation with a really hostile rheumatologist who was refusing further treatment following a severe reaction to hydroxychloroquine. I saw him on Wednesday (the third appointment since
