Saw Rheumy at HSS - New York - Question for You?
Hi Folks, Saw really good rheumy and she had some good info and advice (as well as taking 8 vials of blood out of me. Talk about thorough...) She said as I taper that she was not in love with the idea of me hitting extra pain here and there with Advil (ibuprofen), and prefers that I use Tylenol (paracetemol

Wind pain but no diarrhoea
I have ibs D this is something that plays up everyday but recently it’s been getting better but my stomach pains r making it hard to stand up straight. I think it’s trapped wind but it’s been almost 20 hours and the pain is just as bad, doing a 9 hour shift at work is stressful enough without the added

I have had non stop bleeding whilst on zoladex and Tibolone for 3 months. My doctor has now swapped Tibolone to Femoston-conti but reading up on it says DO NOT take if you have undiagnosed vaginal bleeding ... which I have! It also says DO NOT take if you have thickening of the womb lining which I don

Pembrolizumab & possibility of U. Colitis recurrence?
I have just been approved for Pembrolizumab, but the only worry the oncologist had was that it could cause U. Colitis to flare up. I had U. Colitis & sepsis in autumn 2015, and my GE had it under control within a few months using Octasa 800 - He told me to stay on two per day as a maintenance dose, and

*Photo Warning* Stool has been this way for months
Hi all, I’m a 20 year old college student. My stool has looked this way and has had this consistency for a while. I thought the red spot in the photo of my stool was blood; got it checked by my physician and it was just undigested food (phew). My concern lies in the fact that, while my stool is formed

PMR and starting Pred
So My GP thinks I have pmr and so do I. I am not taking prednisone until the end of the month as we are trying CBD oil first (have since read it doesn’t really help for pmr). So far CBD hasn’t touched my pain. My question is this. Earlier in the week I was so sore. Needed to go clothes shopping and I

How to get some nutrition if you have IBS, Celiac, Crohn's, Ulcerative Colitis, Radiation Enteritis, or any other digestion disorder.
If you have IBS or any of its "cousin" gut diseases such as Ulcerative Colitis, you might not absorb nutrients well. Diarrhea in particular will flush out all nutrients, either natural or in supplement for. You gut microflora might also be weak from constant diarrhea, which will make things worse. I

Steroid pump for secondary adrenal insufficiency with traumatic brain injury
Hi. I’m new on this site but I wanted to share my AI stories, answer some questions and hopefully find some more resources to help us with this challenging condition. I’m reading that a lot of people on this site seem to be taking their steroids orally. I too was started on oral medication, dexamethasone
