Which alternative to warfarine?
Had my appointment with the cardiologist yesterday. It was a very productive meeting. As you all know I need a couple of operations. So he is making it clear to all concerned with my welfare, that I need heparin injections while they stop the warfarine prior to the ops. Also my potassium and Sodium levels

Keto diet
Hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone has tried the keto diet and have you had any improvement with your ITP. Were you able to take the ketones supplements? I know with keto alot of people say use MCT oil but being that it is part coconut oil, it is a natural blood thinner.

Blood Result Interpretation
Hi I have been feeling very exhausted, not the usual Hashimotos fatigue but instead completely run down, breathless, very dark circles under eyes and total lack of energy. This has been going on for years to be honest despite introduction of t4 and t3 and thyroid results being normal now. The medication

High T3 and low body temperature?
Hey, thyroid friends! Im a bit lost about my symptoms and las blood work. Any advice and idea will be welcome. I was on 50mcgt4/15mcgt3 and was feeling anxious and heart symptoms described below and go down to 25mcgt4/10mcgt3. For the last 10 days I decided to go t3 only (back to 15 mcg). And after those

BEWARE of CUCUMBERS!
I've posted in other threads about my IBS-D. I've got it mostly under control for the last few months, but yesterday was a baaaaad day. I was feeling fine, being lazy, decided to have a healthy snack of a cucumber with some ranch dressing. Sliced up the whole large cucumber and ate it. All I'd had prior

Magnesium dose
I have had Epsom salts in my bath the last couple of days instead of Radox bath salts. They have helped ease the pain in my back and knee. Does anyone else here think a magnesium supplement would be good for me to take? Any suppliers you can recommend would be great. Thanks in advance

Complications are a circle
Hi there, Hubby only been home 4 weeks and back in to get drained again. Low blood pressure 93/50. Low sodium, was 128 then dropped again. Taken off dueretics for 72 hrs, and back on them tomorrow. Been told if this doesn't work it will be a stent, then the transplant list. Any advice from experience

Possible lung infection???
Well after a rollercoaster of emotions over the last couple of weeks, lung lesions, probably a new primary lung cancer and then a possible infection, I’m now on steroids and high dose antibiotics. Hoping and praying that this clears whatever is on my lung. Feeling strange on the tabs to say the least

Too many to list on here and not bore you all to death but my main worries are leg pains (intermittent claudication), leg weakness/pain, tingling hands/feet, fast heart rate when walking, left sided chest pain

Help with interpreting results please
I’ve been suffering from very heavy periods since puberty and more recently after the birth of my youngest child. I had a mirena coil fitted and had some relief but that came with its own problems. I had the coil removed a year ago and the heavy periods returned. I had been feeling terrible fatigue for

Hi all, I’m really confused about my latest blood test results. Firstly, here’s a bit of background (excuse the repeat from a post I did a month or so ago). I've never been diagnosed with a thyroid condition but I posted on this site early last year as I believed I did have a sluggish thyroid, I had
