Indapamide
I have recently had blood test which showed very low potassium and high sodium. My GP says can't give me supplements and has stopped Indapamide for a month. (no alternative diuretic given). I had aortic valve replacement January 2018 and am also hypertensive. My Ramipril was reduced post op and also

Bad weekend
So it’s been a bit of a crap weekend here - no pun intended. I went out with friends on Friday night and had an attack before I went - 3/4 loose and urgent BM. Saturday morning I had to go out so I took two Imodium as a precaution in case I needed the toilet. All was fine. Today I’ve been doubled up

Dental problems
Hi all! Well, I hope everyone is on the mend of some sort. Does anyone who wears dentures have problems consuming foods that require chewing? My gums have bone loss and can’t chew hard foods like salads apples and the likes. I’ve had to smash meats and veggies. Drink smoothies with protein and berries

Anyone know anything about Excel Diagnostics in Houston?
We visited with nuclear medicine yesterday and instead of doing radium 223 at this time she referred us to Excel Diagnostics for possible trials. In the meantime we have emailed Technical University in Munich about My 177 treatments and the place in Houston about trials. also scheduled for, you guessed

Hello I am new here. I am a 58 year old divorced female, living in the Northern VA area. I wrote a lengthy introduction in the Kidney Community hub. I just found out I have CKD last Friday. My GFR was 68 in June 2019 and it dropped to 55, two weeks ago. I had no idea I had kidney disease in June

I've took a good turn the past few weeks, due to having an Imodium once per week but obviously want to stop this as I'm becoming reliant. Ever increasing T3?
Brief background (because I’ve posted quite a lot!): started levo/T3 combo at 10/125mcg in March this year. Fab. All symptoms gone.... for about 6 weeks. I’m finding I need to increase by 5mcg every 5/6 weeks. I’ve tried sticking at one dose for longer but symptoms increase again. Recently when in

ROOT CAUSE THEORY
For those of us that have structurally normal hearts yet are effected by palpitations/tachycardia/fibrillation/flutter/et al, I have been unable to answer the question - is your heart behaving appropriately to the stimulus it gets or is the stimulus normal and your heart acting inappropriately. Radium 223
My husband had his 2nd infusion today of Radium 223 and the nuclear medicine doctor told him that studies have shown that Radium 223 only extends life a couple of months. Just curious about others experiences and the recommendations about life expectancy? Thanks everyone!

Low sodium levels?
One of my latest test results showing sodium level down to 129 -last test was 130. Both results too low according to standards. Not sure if Trileptal prescription is playing a part- is known to cause low sodium. Meet with nephrologist on results tomorrow but seeing this score drop is frightening.
