Why can't I be happy?!
I feel I need to apologise about my post before I even start, as I'm sure it will sound silly and ridiculous. My husband had a stem cell transplant in January after being diagnosed with all last year. His counts are all good so far, he feels well in himself. I've recently had to return to work, so back

It's been a while since I was last on here - a good six months at least. A lot's happened in that time both personally and in the world. Back in February I suffered another pneumothorax - my fourth in three years and worst to date. I was off work for 5 weeks in total and for a long time it looked like

Blood in stool and just a little clot
Ok it wasn't a lot of clots just one with bright red blood. A few days ago I noticed a lump in my anus and it's itchy and uncomfortable. Does hemorrhoids do this? I'm in no pain in my stomach and I don't feel tired. But I changed my diet, I fastened myself for a few days then eat a healthy meal. Could

Very worried
I’m 63, have been feeling very weak for about six weeks and feel better on and off, I have stomach cramps, looser quick stools and sometimes constipation. Two days ago I had terrible diarrhoea followed by a fairly large loss of mucous like blood in the toilet pan, I’ve just seen very tiny streak of blood

Face masks - recommendations?
My husband is still recovering from a stem cell transplant earlier this year and will need to shield until end of July. I have to go back to work next week. I work in a supermarket and although they say they have social distancing measures in place, they are not always followed. I want to invest in some

Glycerine suppository
After a severe bout of diarrhoea I was unable to go the toilet for the following 6 days. For the first timeI used a glycerine suppository which had almost immediate affect. As my IBS seems to be caused by anxiety about needing to use a toilet outside my home I wonder whether it would be a good idea

Panic/heart rate PLEASE HELP
My biggest symptom of (my now diagnosed) panic disorder is palpitations/high heart rate. It isn't freakishly high, but I am so super sensitive to it that a rate of 90 may as well be 150 :'( I have been struggling with it all day, to the point that I'm either going to have to take an emergency-only xanax

Success with chronic constipation finally?!
Hiya, just wanted to post my recent experience for anyone currently struggling with their child’s chronic constipation. My son is 11 and has been severely constipated and unable to poo on the loo and constantly soiling for 2.5/3 years. He’s had problems with it since age 2.5 but very very bad last few

Are people with previous drug and alcohol problems eligible to get a liver transplant?
I'm pretty sure I've got serious liver problems. Blood tests were good but i can't definitive tests at the moment. I used to smoke legal highs (cannaboids) years ago and I think they fucked up my liver. Since then I've been a binge drinker which i think pushed it over the edge. I haven't taken drugs

Is it even possible to develop colon cancer less than a year after undergoing a colonoscopy with no findings?
Good day, Logically, I personally do not believe that cancer can develop in the large bowel of a person who underwent a colonoscopy with no findings 10 months after the procedure, let alone a person who underwent a colonoscopy with no findings 10 months after the procedure who is in their thirties and

Very Worried I may have Colon Cancer
I’m 29 years old and for over 5 years I have had bleeding in stool on and off. I have had it checked out at ER’s and through GP a few times but never really any further. My father 6 weeks ago was unfortunately diagnosed with primary Liver Cancer and since then I start to fear the worse and my symptoms
