They didnt give a resume date, just that none would be done whilst Corona ongoing. I've been on the list since January for a single lung.

Hi, Wythenshaw rang me yesterday she said they had done urgent transplants. Cases looked at on a one to one basis. She explained that they now have access to Covid test that gets results in 4 hours. Shes sending me some info on it (regarding false negative results etc) + a form for me to complete and send back with my decision re testing.

Tweetie13, if this is all being postponed until we are out the virus then everyone is in for a dead long wait!! Even if a possible vaccine arrives there can and will be no guarantees on results and effectiveness on those willing to participate in them. I am under review at Harefield finally got a appt for Oct, for assessment (double lung) which is insane as we are in FLU season by then minus the 19 thingy. I am debating postponment until next year, hopefully they will have a handle on everything covid or know more how its running. ..it currently appears to be a seasonal outbreak ? who the hell knows? for sure. I further read that urgent or super urgent only were being done at all tx centres UK that means those with less than 3 months to live go through to operation..hard to juggle this especially if we are dodging the dreaded flu and now covid seasons so I cannot see a way through transplant until something is here or we are on much firmer ground in and by the way of knowledge at present a big mystery which is astounding in itself as its got a lot of data gathered, truth is I doubt any of them know what they are dealing with here...vaccine wise it takes up to 20 yrs to make a viable one most are made within 7 yrs ...so time wise for us guys does not look good...my advice keep moving and looking out for you best your able I think only the super urgents, and urgents stand a chance of realistically being listed...keeping stable is a positive way forward, it really sucks I had a postponed assessment from April and I am still unsure on going ahead due to rejection side and immune suppressants after the event, as of course this leaves you where your at pre a tx, due to the virus itself..our worlds are all very changed..I wished it were different.
