Blood in stool and just a little clot

Ok it wasn't a lot of clots just one with bright red blood. A few days ago I noticed a lump in my anus and it's itchy and uncomfortable. Does hemorrhoids do this? I'm in no pain in my stomach and I don't feel tired. But I changed my diet, I fastened myself for a few days then eat a healthy meal. Could this be what caused the hemorrhoids? Again it was just one little clot and I thought maybe it was there cause the hemorrhoids might have bled a little last night and some of it clotted over night
