Disimpacted 9 year old and still soiling
my 9 year old has been suffering with chronic constipation for 6 years, we are all at our wits end. It is hugely affecting my, but more importantly her, mental health. At the beginning of July we had a hospital stay for disimpaction via a NG tube. This was effective. Doctor prescribed 5 ml of sodium

Progress at last
Haven’t posted for a long time. Some of you may know that after reaching my goal of a 10k continuous run I contracted COVID in September 2022. Diagnosed with Long Covid in December 2022, really struggled to even walk 400 yards but saw an improvement last Summer and got to Week 7 all be it very slowly

Ketogenic/Paleo diet
I have been following a ketogenic diet with very little dairy. It is very low carb and I've lost weight and generally feel better on it. However, a recent blood test showed that I have a low sodium level. Whilst I do season food I don't eat any processed food, so no crisps, savoury snacks etc. that

How long can Asthma flares last?
Hi I’m in to my 5th week now with a tight chest and struggling to breathe. A&E couldn’t find anything untoward and GP could only offer stronger antihistamines and Montelukast which I have reluctantly started a few days ago. The worrying thing is that my peak flow isn’t too bad but I still have the tightness

Anyone Know About Silent Reflux
Following on from my experience of asthma flare up I'm wondering if like Cade in his post about breathing problems whilst exercising, if I could have silent reflux. It was shortness of breath that led me to seek medical treatment, and even though I had no wheezing or cough the hospital concluded it was

I was just trawling over my last very full blood results to see what I could learn. Again! All this towards taking T3 which appears to be my very necessary direction. Really there were no surprises. Vit D low, minor so far knock on effect to bone tests etc etc. However, for thoroughness and making

Laxido - diarrhoea
hi there, I was suffering with constipation so my doctor prescribed Laxido. The label from the pharmacy said take one twice a day generally but if constipated you can take 6 in 1 hour. I took 5 in 1 hour last Saturday. Since then, I have loose stools/diarrhoea. I have bloating and cramps also. I thought

I have had diarrhea most of my life and have used Imodium for the most part. Have been working with GI specialist but no help so far. Taking Colestipol which at least usually keeps me from having an accident but goes not help the symptoms of needing to go. They seem to want to find right pills to help

leg weakness after attack
Hi, I am a newbie, but had asthma for years and it is getting gradually worse. I have had maybe 3 severe attacks and the most recent has had me off work for nearly 2 weeks now. In the past I have carried on going in (to my detriment) you know that work ethic malarkey. This time I took the time

Steroids and Radium 223
Hi Hopefully my husband will start Radium 223 in 4-6 weeks. He recently stopped abiraterone after 5 months as his PSA was doubling every month. While he was on abiraterone he was taking 2mgs of dexamethasone, although 1mg for the last month. He’s currently taking 6mgs of prednisilone but our question
