Mastectomies
My partner (38) was diagnosed with stage 4 Ovarian cancer in June after many earlier chances of diagnosis. There was also a mass in one of her breasts. She had gene testing and is BRCA 1 positive. She has had 4 doses of chemo, debulking surgery (which went well) and two further doses of chemo. She

I need these having had a

headaches #4
Back to tension headaches! I got to see my neurologist on Monday. He felt around, listened to what my other Drs had said, then said it’s definitely not migraines. He believes they are tension headaches due to spasms, not spasticity in my neck and shoulders. He told me to stop taking amitripaline,

Aleve use for pain other than pmr
I have found the occasional use of an Aleve helps so much with pain when I am decreasing the prednisone. Most of my pain comes from my back fractures. As I reduce the pred. My back aches get worse. Does anyone know why an Aleve would be worse for me than some of the meds they suggest that have much

GFR of 60
Hello. Last week my husband had blood tests and it showed he might have an issue with his kidneys. His GFR is 60. He is 68 and pretty healthy. He has taken iboprofin and Aleve just recently for hip pain. He never took it before the last 2 months. The doctor said that this might be the cause for his numbers

Too little Pred?
hello all- new here and am still working to understand PMR. I have a ton of blood tests done and my father has RA. I just turned 50 and am a very active, flexible former gymnast. I work out 6 times a week and have done Pilates and/or yoga and elliptical daily. My symptoms came on quickly about 6 weeks

Can't keep my eyes open!!!
The fatigue is really getting to me at the moment. I feel so groggy and whenever I sit down, my eyes get heavy and I just fall asleep. I honestly feel like I'm 37 going on 87. I can even be sat with a cup of tea or coffee, doze off and wake up to it tipped all over me. Likewise I've fallen asleep eating

Has anyone tried Celadrin or Glucosamine Sulphate for Fibro?
Hi, I recently read an article about someone with fibromyalgia who said Celadrin cream really helped them with their stiff muscles. I then did some reading of my own about it and found that celadrin works best when combined with glucosamine sulphate. Has anyone tried either of these for their fibro?

Pneumococcal vaccine
Hello everyone I recently turned 65 and was invited to get the current pneumococcal vaccine (against 28 strains, I think). Has anyone had this vaccine and subsequently had Afib problems? I had it on Friday, felt very tired, a bit shaky on Saturday and am currently in Afib in the early hours of Sunday
