Worsening back pain after treatment?
I’ve had back pain before, and even had surgery to relieve it, but this is different. I’ve brought this up with my RO and my plain oncologist, but wanted to see if anyone here has experienced this. Next week I’ll be talking to my GP. A reminder of my DX: Gleason 9, spread to local lymph nodes. Treated

Scared of the Future.....
My husband (42M) has been having the feeling of needing to use the bathroom 7-10 times a day, and it always comes out as gas or diarrhea, loose watery stools. I had him to our primary doctor and get some tests run. All of his bloodwork has come back ok, his platelets are a little high, but his iFOBT

New Developments in My Husband's PCA Journey
Hello, I wanted to provide an update on my husband's progression and, hopefully, some of you may have some knowledge to share or have a similar profile. His psa has risen from <0.04 since RP for Stage 3b to 0.06 in 9/23. A recheck a week later showed a rise to 0.1. This was followed by a drop to <.04

After Lupron, NUBEQA and Zytega … and a recent FDG Cat scan Several nodes lit up in the periodonal aorta area of his abdomen. Being totally right up against the aorta, a decision was made to remove them robotically. Surgery went well. All lymph’s were removed that lit up on the scan. docs felt PSA

I used to hire one for use at home in my late teens/early 20’s then used the stand-up ones on and off at tanning salons a few years after that. I never thought there was any harm in using sunbeds and I can’t remember seeing

Disgusted with Healthcare
I had to request my PCP to do a PSA as it wasn't standard practice. I had to call the urologist, who I originally saw, after I joined this board and knew I should be starting ADT, even though they hadn't two months after my scans showed Stage IV. I saw the surgeon even though it was Stage IV and wasn't

Any updates on the 2019 Italian work on CRISPR-CAS9 that anyone knows about?

Please suggest "must read" articles for men diagnosed with an advanced stage of prostate cancer
If your prostate cancer knowledge seeking includes reading peer-reviewed articles, please suggest "must read" articles for men diagnosed with an advanced stage of prostate cancer and perhaps for their family members, too.

PSA suppression
My PSA lows tend to be around 3.3, and it occurs to me that some might think it odd that I don't drive it lower. I think it is very common for men on ADT to draw too much comfort from a significant PSA reduction, if not a near-zero PSA. I have witnessed men misinterpret a dramatic drop in PSA as

chronic rectal bleeding, colonoscopy normal
I have been dealing with chronic rectal bleeding for at least 8 months, if not more. Been blown off by doctors. My family doctor finally sent me to a general surgeon who ordered a colonoscopy. walnuts
hello, I’m post breast cancer treatment and on tamoxifen. There’s been a bit of thyroxine wobbling as I started that so being monitored. I’m eating more nuts, particularly / including walnuts (good for Bc) for extra protein as I’m exercising and lifting weights. how long would you wait before

Update on Failing Pirtobrutinib
After 8 months on pirto, my specialist confirmed the drug is indeed no longer working. We discussed 2 options, CAR-T (not a trial) and a BTK degrader trial at Penn. After a long explanation of how they handle the CAR-T procedure, (it is done on an outpatient basis). Along with all the major risks and

sadly my markers have been rising and I have been having belly pain plus my neck node doubled in size since before my 2 months in New Zealand… weirdly but typical for lobular my CT scan showed practically disease… such that then I had to get a PET scan to confirm that… that seems also not to show anything
