Piqray/alpelesib. Oncologists. And various.
Hello all. Photo of Stevie. My little girl is growing up. I’m popping in to say I’ve been told, as of last Friday, I’m doing well on Piqray/Alpelesib and Fulvestrant. (Denocumab/Xgeva monthly) For any of you wondering how this regime is. For me it is going quite well but I must say, I have lost a lot

Another Xray but why ?
Hi all. I haven't been here for quite a long time so I hope that you are all coping and getting all the help and support you need. This forum helped me so much. Unfortunately, I now have multiple problems because of the lung misdiagnosis and because of negligence by our hospital. Another long story

My diagnosis after 6 years, Lymphoma EMZL, AL Amyloidosis and Myeloma
Hi everyone, It's been some time since I updated my situation after having been told my Lung nodules had grown. I had a lung wedge resection last year July after a biopsy which was terrible. I had infections a couple of times after the surgery. That is when I received the devastating news about my diagnosis

accidental overdose of thyroxine
I’m on 100 mcg thyroxine and the kart prescription they only had 25 mcg so I was taking 4 tablets a day and then the recent prescription was 100 mcg. I’ve just realised today that I’ve been taking 4 100 mcg a day I think for 4 days from how many are gone. In a bit of a panic. I’ve rang 111 and they called

The numbers though are ever so slightly elevated and range from (5.9-6.1 RBC), (16.7-17.2HGB),and(49-50.4 HCT) during those 8 years they each either went up or down and did NOT

New treatment
2 weeks ago I had liver ablation to remove 3 tumors on my liver. 2 were responding to treatment (anastrozole and kisqali for HER2 neg) and 1 was not. Surgery went well. Biopsy showed that the growing tumor was triple negative. Seemingly the other 2 (breast and hip met) are still HER2 negative. Anyone

MSK Consult Today
Thanks to everyone who has given me excellent advice regarding my husband’s pca recurrence. Today we met with an MSK uro oncologist for a second opinion. He completely agreed and supported the plan of radiating the high pelvic nodes (including the lower abdominal nodes along the bifurcation) and slightly

No benefit of chemo for ER+HER2- invasive lobular beyond estrogen therapy
Just found this in the digest I get of medical journal articles (MD Edge): Women with estrogen receptor (ER)–positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)–negative invasive lobular carcinoma who are treated with endocrine therapy do not derive any additional survival benefit from neoadjuvant

Cancer Clinical Trial Participation May Not Actually Improve Survival, Study Says, MedPage Today May 22, 2024
While an admittedly imperfect pooled analysis (w/ PCa trials amounting to 7% of total), this paper illuminates the effects of patient selection bias in clinical trial outcomes.
(emphasis is added.)

"8mm sclerotic focus noted T12 vertebrae within left superior acetabulum"
MO ordered CT Abdomen/pelvis after having a couple blood clots in urine, no blood, about 4 mths ago with several quick sharp pains in bladder area daily since about that time (may be from straining to empty bladder when urinate or kegels). CT no issues noted other than the 8mm sclerotic focus in T12

panicking!

Do I need an Oncologist?
Originally had PSA test that came back 28+ and was referred to Urologist. I was not interested in Surgery so the Urologist referred me to a Radiation Oncologist. After the radiation treatments were over I went back to the Urologist to continue the Lupron treatments. My last visit with the Radiation Team

Robotic Ureteral Reimplantation
Have any of you had this surgery? How did it turn out? My right ureter has a partial blockage that is believed to be radiation damage from my prostate cancer radiation treatments five years ago. The ureter is very narrow near the bladder, and urine flow is restricted. A surgeon at University of Chicago
