Rinvoq advice

Hi Everyone,Hope you are as well as can be. I was doing amazing on Etanercept + Methotrexate for two years and it failed after shingles vaccine. After being in a hideous flare and waiting months for RA appointment, I was put on Rinvoc + Metho. Seemed to really help but after just two weeks I got a mouth abscess out the blue. I had to pause all meds, went into a huge all body flare within 24 hours. Been back on Rinvoc for 9 days, seems to be working as inflammation, heat and redness all subsided. Also have range of movements back. However I have started with an outbreak of spots on my forehead and scalp. My hair is super greasy, feels itchy and smells after two days. Any help or suggestions please. I know this seems silly, but it is uncomfortable and embarrassing. Thanks

Acne is listed as a side effect of Rinvoq (see product information sheet).

Yes, I see that. I wondered if anyone had any suggestions for managing this side effect, is it temporary etc?

Best to ask your doctor: it depends on how severe it is - if it is pimples that are not severe, there are topical treatments.

(P.S. Mouth cankers are a side effect of MTX - & can usually be managed by increasing folic acid , by Rx thru your MD.)

You may be allergic to it, I would contact your med team.

Thank you, I will monitor, I suspect this is more acne that allergy rash.

Hi shelby37I've been on rinvoq for over a year now and I'm getting rashes on my face my G.P. gave me antihistamines to help it helped but still getting it
