I haven’t had the shingles vaccine but if you put that into the search box all posts about it will come up.

yes I’ve had and was fine with both vaccines. I’m on benepali, methotrexate and steroids. Slight pain in arm. Normally I flare with vaccines

I had it, the first part in November, the second part 3 months later. The first part was fine, just a sore arm. The second part was the complete opposite. I felt really poorly and spent nearly two days in bed.

It’s Shingrex so 2 doses. And the answer dreadful BUT I promise you Shingles was worse. And I was hospitalised with Shingles it’s not an infection that is avoidable as if you’ve had Chickenpox in lives on in you. And just because it adversary affected me doesn’t mean it’ll do the same to you. Shingles is so painful it beggars belief and is really nasty.

I was tired for a few days after the second dose. I would advise checking with your rheumatology team regarding pausing your meds. I was told to miss a Cimzia dose and a methotrexate dose after each vaccination.

I have the flu and COVID vaccines in November. They are half way between Cimzia injections so I can carry on with it but will miss the methotrexate 3 days later as advised by my rheumatology team.

I had the worst sore arm of all the jabs (pain lasting about a week) and I felt a bit off for 24 hours after each one. Well worth it to be protected from shingles imo!

I had both Shingrix jabs and just had sore arm at injection site. I had previously had shingles , which was dreadful so the sore arm was a ride in the park compared to that!

Yes I had it no problem apart from an achkey arm I take benapali as well.

We took the Shingrix vaccine. It was necessary to wait until we'd normally take a RA injection, skip it, take the vaccine that day instead, continue to hold our RA injection until the next regularly scheduled dose (Enbrel, once a week). And, of course, we did it 2X about 8 weeks apart. First dose, useless arm for a day, plus really tired. Second dose, useless body for a day and seriously not McLovin' it. We'd prefer a good flogging over another run at it. Of course, it's still preferable to the shingles. Best wishes.

I've just had my shingles vac this week. Wasn't able to have it before as I was on Tocilizamub and the shingles vac was live and you can't have any live vacs when you are on biologics. But now they've brought out a shingles vac that is not live so was advised to go for it. Just had a bit of a sore arm for a few days. BUT remember to ask if it is live vaccine or not. If you're on a biologic med don't have live xx

I had both my shingles vaccines a few weeks ago. Last week I was diagnosed with shingles without the rash! I didn’t know it was a thing but upon checking - it is! I don’t respond to vaccines - 9 Covid vaccines yet still no antibodies, nor responded to others I’ve had in the last couple of years. I’m under a professor of immunology and had a six-month course of IV immunoglobulin therapy to try and boost my immunity but it appears to be completely broken.

I’ll still have the vaccines though - I live in hope!
