GET YOUR SHINGLES VACCINE !So, I had chicken pox as a child. A rite of passage in those days. Itching in my ears, between my toes. They put socks on your hands so you wouldnt scratch in your sleep. They also had my younger brothers give me a hug so they'd contract it(which they did)and then they'd have it ALL OVER WITH! 😄One childhood disease checked off the list!Some time in my 30's, I would notice a burning sensation on my back. A little like a sunburn. When I took a look a my skin was NORMAL.🤔
When my daughter was 3 months old and I was 37 I noticed a burning rash near my armpit. I was diagnosed with shingles. "BUT SHINGLES IS FOR OLD PEOPLE", I thought to myself.
This past August(I'm 60) that burning pain came back but was now severe and accompanied by headache,extreme fatigue, a fever, but mainly PAIN. But, this time there was no rash. Even with medication it took a couple of weeks to get better. That was quite a surprise.
AND, it started again a few days ago. 🙄 So, here we go again! I don't have time for this!
The shingles vaccine is 2 injections at least 2 months apart. I've only had the 1st one🤦♀️.
