I'm on lots of meds due to
severe
asthma
so I'm not seeing my consultant until September as i should be ok. I had an asthma review today with my very helpful asthma nurse who told me a bit about bronchiastitis.

Newly diagnosed feeling confused and afraid, it’s been a hard 6 months.
I don’t know where to start.... September 2018 I had pneumonia, the paramedics came out and thought it was pleurisy, I had a fast heartbeat, high Temperature, rapid and noisy breathing, I was put on 2 different nebulisers, I refused a hospital visit due to being a lone parent of a lad with autism. Xolair vs. Nucala (Omalizumab vs. Mepolizumab)
I have
severe
allergic
asthma
. I take Symbicort, Spiriva, Zyrtec, and Flonase daily. I just started Xolair (Omalizumab) but I'm already worried it might not be a good fit.

He’s doing great!
For those who have been following Matthew’s story, here’s a little update. He had his stoma reversal surgery last month and it all went swimmingly. Never did I think I’d be so thrilled at changing a dirty nappy now that things are all working normally 😊 He’s now 11.5lbs and is piling on weight since

Diagnosing asthma in young children?
My young grandson has had a cold and cough. (He has had one lot of anitibiotics for an ear infection.) A couple of times now he has had a rattling chest when he laughs of becomes energetic. You can feel it in his lower chest. However at a recent check up the GP said his chest is clear. I read that

Constant pressure to change medication
Well, have just endured another annual review, with a nurse (not an asthma nurse), pressing for me to change to another treatment, ie combined inhaler. Then took my blood pressure which was sky high (well, it would be , wouldn't it ?) One, I was given an appointment with a nurse I didn't want to see
