Good Morning to you all. I was hoping someone who could advice me on GPA Replase. I was diagnosed back in April of this year spent over 2 weeks in hospital and treated with Rituximab and continue on steroids unable to tolerate Azathioprine so spent the summer reducing steroids down from 60 mg to 10mg

Long term side effects of Lamictal on bones and teeth?
I took Lamictal for my JME epilepsy, with Keppra, Epilim and Fycompa, my dentist was always ticking me off for years, I was paying for expensive fillings, crowns, etc, I wondered why, even going onto electric toothbrushes, still severe 'slap on the wrists' "Why don't use ...." blah, blah, then when

Complications from Immunosuppressants
The docs decided to completely (but likely temporarily) remove the Mycophenolate, the
Septra
, and the Lansoprazole to see if this will help my wbc count increase. I am still taking Tacrolimus at 5 mg and Prednisone at 7.5 mg.

Increasing lamotrigine dose
Hi I am new to posting on here , so a little background. My husband had his first seizure in August 2019, out of the blue no family history and never been ill in his life. Looking back there had been a couple of “strange” episodes over the year but nothing that would suggest epilepsy. He ended up in

Epilepsy - Getting it under Control?
My partner suffered encephalitis in June 2020. Lots of focal (front lobe) seizures while in hospital but seizure-free at discharge a month later. However seizures came back 2 months later. For over a year we have dealt with initially very frequent seizures. It’s now down to 1-2 every ca. 2 weeks. He

Ibrutinib - Septrin
Had a face to face with my haematologist today, first time in 2 years. One point of conversation was that patients on Ibrutinib are now recommended to a received Septrin (cotrimoxazole) or a pentamidine nubliser. Any one else in the UK received the same advice or on Septrin/Cotrimoxazole.

Hey All, I was diagnosed with epilepsy September 2018, Controlled with Keppra & Lamogratrine, had my driving licence back for year (That’s the background story) this last month I’ve been having what I thought were panic attacks. I get this sudden fear and what feels like a rush of blood from my feet

Insomnia
Does anyone have trouble sleeping? My mom is one year post-HSV encephalitis and she cannot get more than a few hours of sleep each night. We can’t figure out if it is her ABI or her Keppra. She doesn’t nap during the day. She’s tried all the normal recommendations for better sleep (no electronics, no

Stay on Phenytoin??
I have been on it for 34 years and for most of it I’ve been able to lead a normal life. I too have become aware of long term has side affects and after discussion with my consultant he has offered to change my meds to Keppra. After reading things about Keppra and running the risk of making things worse

The right doc. makes a world of difference!
I found out that I had CKD stage 3A a little over 2 months ago. I wrote on here and so many of you were really helpful and gave me great advice. Since then, I've been reading, reading, and reading some more. I have myself on a very kidney-friendly diet. Although it still keeps biting in the butt. One

Memory
Hi all, I’m 32 and been on keppra for 12 years now. My short term memory is so rubbish? Is this the epilepsy or the meds? Are we a higher risk for dementia? I’m so worried xx

Keppra side effect of repetitive rhythm in head
Keppra at 500 mg twice daily has reduced my focal seizures to almost none, however when I bumped up to that dose I began hearing a repetitive rhythm repeating in my mind. It’s always there when it’s quiet and everything I do seems to pick up that rhythm in my mind. One of my doctors says that could
