How Long before you noticed improvements on new dose?
Hey guys just curious to know typically how long before people who have had their doses increased or reduced noticed a change in their well being. It's been just over 2 weeks since my Levo was increased and I have to say I feel so much better already. My hair loss is slowing down and my weight has stablised

I have had 2 Medichecks bloods done, on 8th June and 30th August – results are below. Hopefully I am ready to put into practice what I have learnt from reading posts over the last few weeks. On the advice on this forum, I started taking supplements after June 8th : Vit D 6000iu, Vit K2 90ug,

Graves, little support from GP and only T4 tests.
My general practitioner does not seem to understand Graves disease other than she says her brother has it. He had Radioactive removal of his thyroid. I asked her how her brother was doing and she said he is almost cured. I took this to mean she did not understand Graves disease because I didn't know

Thyroid and headaches
About two months ago I had extreme fatigue and migraines and found my TSH was 109. Since then I've gone on supplements which have handled the tiredness for the most part. I take Selenium, Magnesium, Iodine and other supplements connected to the thyroid but still get a headache/migraine that incapacitates

What do latest blood results mean?
Please could someone help me interpret my latest results? At the beginning of the year my GP reduced my Levo from 150 to 125 as she said I was over medicated. I did as I was told for 3 and a half months and at the end of that period was pretty unwell with fatigue, aching limbs, hair thinning, my fingernails

I am 41 and was diagnosed as hypo 17 years ago. Medicated with thyroxine and was alway informed bloods were okay but have, for at least 12years, had hypo symptoms; 4 stone weight gain which won’t shift even though I eat healthy and exercise, swelling, puffy face, hands, feet and eyes. Last year my hair

Chest pain with even small amount of T3?
I'm new here and have a question/concern that I have not seen posted here. I was NDT and had to stop because of chronic chest pain (at any dose). I then went on straight t4 and felt awful- so now I've been trying to add a tiny bit of T3 to my 50mcg of synthroid and every time I try to increase just a

At my wits end! Months of ill health and multiple and conflicting endo opinions.
I am writing to this amazing community for further guidance and help- it has been my saviour on several occasions before. Thank you again! My story is very long so apologies in advance, but suffice to say the biggest problems emerged 3.5 years ago when I was diagnosed with hypothyroidosm at 7 weeks

Advice on selenium and zinc and endocrinologist
Hello everyone Do any of you take selenium and zinc ? If so zinc with copper? I don’t want to mess with my system but I just got my bloods and TSH 0.5 (0.27-4.2 mU/L) and T4 22.1 (12-22 pmol/L). I was quite upset that they didn’t do T3 like I asked. GP said Lab decide if normal no need to do. These

Fitting in T4, 3x T3 and requisite supplements
When I first started T4/T3 I wondered how to squeeze everything in and still leave the right amount of time between eating etc. Taking more than 5mcg of T3 at a time didn't work for me as I felt spaced out and as if my brain couldn't process what I was seeing quickly enough. The best tips I received

Putting on weight every week
Hey everyone this is more of a moan. Before I got illl with Hashimotos in 2012, I was a size 10/12. Since my diagnosis and especially since my second child, I keep putting on weight!!!! I am now verging on a size 18. I actually eat less than I used to and am gluten and dairy free and don’t eat that much

New Here - Wife with Stage IV Hubby
Was inspired to finally introduce myself here by lincolnj8's post (https://healthunlocked.com/advanced-prostate-cancer/posts/137984163/stage-4-advanced-prostate-cancer) and by Dan59's reply to that post. They both appear to have similar stories to my husband's, and I'd love their input and support

Graves disease eye symptoms
I have Graves disease and have had a thyroidectomy. It has been two years. My eyes run drip water, burn, are bloodshot, terrible bags under my eyes, and sometimes ache. When I tell the doctor she says I have allergies. I have never had allergies before. It's very scary because it cannot get proper treatment
