Dietary iodine intake for Hashimoto's patients - yes or no?
I've read tons of available research re the above question, and I just want to sum it up to make sure I understand it correctly. Those who have increased antibodies like me, but whose thyroid hormone levels are normal so they don't take any meds for their thyroid, need 150 micrograms of iodine a day

Chapter 17. I dream of the revolution that must come... 2/2.
This is chapter 17 of a book I published in 2015, "A Different Way of Looking at Parkinson's. Almost 20 years of experience with my father's disease (1994-2012)" (only in Spanish). Although we have learned a lot more since that year, I think it can still be useful to most sufferers and family members

Liothyronine trial update
5 weeks into my T3 trial and sadly, it’s not been beneficial so far. I don’t feel any better. (In fact my health is awful- but I’m putting it down to lockdown blues/inactivity/crap diet) but it’s a catch 22 situation. I feel so terribly low in mood, so not eating the best, joints are painful so exercise

High TPOab, High Ferritin and High Cortisol
Recent Results TSH: 4.99mlU/L ( 0.24 - 4.2) was 2.72 mlU/L in October 2020 ( I have been supplementing with Iodine for the last 12 weeks plus Zinc, Selenium, Vit E and NAC ) Have read to expect TSH to rise for a period of iodine supplementation, and then it will settle. A bit anxious about this. T4

I was diagnosed in July last year and put on Carbimazole and Propranolol for a very speedy heart rate. My levels steadily dropped and I went from 30mg down to 20 to 15 to 5mg between July

Am I converting T4 to T3 adequately?
Do I need T3 now? I'm currently taking 100mcg Levo and have felt so normal for around 9 months (joy) but since October have been gradually feeling worse-more tired, brain fog and memory problems, itching is almost unbearable. Worsening tinnitus. My last blood tests were October - blood taken as advised

Great results with vitamins, next steps?
Hi all I wanted to say thanks to all those who helped me when I was (and do) feel pretty crappy. As you can see from the attached, thanks to your advice with supplementation I’m now at a great level with my vitamins and you can see the impact it has had on my thyroid results. TSH AUG - 0.181, NOV -

Levothyroxine and blood test debarcle AGAIN!!
Had my hysteroscopy and biopsy today but prior to it I had a conversation with both the anaesthetist and the surgeon regarding them stopping my levo for 2 days before the operation as my TSH was 0.01 and T4 over range( T3 not tested as no clinical validity ). They disputed the biotin and said that

Low Selenium and low fT3
This study https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33112790/ shows that low selenium is associated with reduced fT3 and increased TPO antibodies. We know this already but the interesting feature is that TSH seemed to be unaffected in this cohort. Since selenium deficiency reduces deiodinase, especially type
