Hello, I am due to have vertical abdominal cut hysterectomy very soon. I have had two c sections. Are the recoveries comparable or completely different please? Thanks

Hello to you all!
What a fabulous idea this forum is! So a little about me my IVF journey started 6 years ago when I was diagnosed with hydrosalpinx and had to have both my tubes removed. I also had to lose around 4st before we could start the process. I never responded well to the gonal f and had low egg collections

C section / acrylic nails & make up
Hi all I go in for c section in 2 days (West Sussex England) and my nurses or midwifes haven’t said I can’t wear my false nails or make up at any of my appointments Is that ok? Even going in for my steroid shots no one has said to not wear make up or my nails, so can I presume it’s fine?

How to make a long story short?
Hi 👋🏻 I’m Vicky. I’ve come over here from fertility network uk. I’m from Herefordshire in the midlands, England. I’m 40 in April. My LG is nearly 7 months old. We are at the baby led weaning stage. It’s going well. My Hubby is disabled (a T4 paraplegic). He will be 44 in March. He was our primary reason

Being in labour with PCD
Hi there, I am 39 years old, with PCD (and situs viscerum inversus) and pregnant with my first child. Our doctor is recommending a planned C-section saying it might be too difficult for me to have a natural birth with breathing issues. Has anyone gone through natural birth and how did you cope? Or if

Prostap
I'm currently having prostap injections. I've been on the pill prior, over a decade and a half and don't really want a coil fitted, as it's too painful. I am struggling with the quite a few side effects, such as mood swings, hot flushes, loss of appetite etc. Also I'm still getting pains in my pelvis

Endometrioma help
Hi everyone, So I ended up in horrendous pain on Monday night which led to me taking myself to a&e and spending two nights in the hospital. I had a scan which shown I have a 4cm endometrioma on my left ovary. The surgeon said it is not big enough to remove and just wants to put me on prostap to try

Twins - Elective C-section or natural birth?
It’s coming to that time where Im starting to think about the birth of our twin girls due in May. I always said I wasn’t precious about either C-section or natural birth and would do whatever is best for the babies, but I’m not sure what that is. I know it’ll depend on their position and the decision

Prostap long term use
I’ve been on this for three years on and off. I have the three monthly injections. I now have a lot of bone issues. When you take pro stap it stops the oestrogen and it’s the stopping of the oestrogen that causes a lot of the bone issues not the actual injection itself. Although the injection stops oestrogen

Hysterectomy looming.....
Hello, I joined a while ago but have been lurking reading as much as I can. A bit about me. I've never really suffered with any obvious symptoms telling me something was wrong. Periods got heavier and they began to hurt more and more but I put that down to age. I was 39 at the time. I went away in December

I have received a letter to make an appointment at Obstetrics department at the hospital. Has anyone had a consultant led pregnancy who can

First appointment with endo specialist but GP has worried me!
After two years of getting nowhere I’m hoping my appoint with an actual endo specialist will finally lead to a diagnosis and a plan. I wasfobbed off by a general gynae who, as I’ve said on here before, said that because the mirena hadn’t stopped my pain then it can’t be a gynae issue. This was despite

Frustration
Hi all.. A bit of a mish mash post, so apologies in advance! I rang the hospital last Monday after lots of back and forth to the GP. I'm on Prostap injections whilst waiting for my operation. The hospital told me last week that my op would this month, but when I rang today to get an update, they told
