I’ve been on this for three years on and off. I have the three monthly injections. I now have a lot of bone issues. When you take pro stap it stops the oestrogen and it’s the stopping of the oestrogen that causes a lot of the bone issues not the actual injection itself. Although the injection stops oestrogen, it’s the actual lack of oestrogen that causes bone issues. So on one hand it is the injection but the cause is the lack of oestrogen. I’m in a Catch-22 situation because I have oestrogen migraines and I cannot bear them I would rather take the prostap which gives me some quality of life. Although I have some bone issues now, My system has never been able to tolerate oestrogen, bizarre as it may sound, being a woman, sadly that’s the case. So it’s up to each person how they feel about taking prostap. For me, it has given me the chance to not suffer with the debilitating migraines. Perhaps research the lack of oestrogen and what that causes in the body. For some people they have no choice but to take certain medications. Supplements help such as B12, magnesium is a must. Omega 3 is good to.

Prostap long term use
Hey Tammylamb I’m also a long-term user (6 years of Zoladex). I too am starting to get issues and I may need to reconsider my treatment. I’ve become menophonic to the state that I feel panicky at the thought of another period. However, the past 6 years have been blissfully period- and pain-free, my recurring ovarian cysts have diminished and the haemosalpinx in my remaining tube is now a hydrosalpinx. Rock and a hard place 🤷🏻♀️
My doctor is wanting to prescribe this for me and I must admit I’m a little anxious to try it after reading all the side effects. How have you found the whole experience and side effects would you recommend it? Or did you struggle at first? I’m really sensitive to hormones and was I was on the depo injection I reacted quite badly to it. I also suffer with visual migraines and worried this sets them off again x
