The 3 smaller
scars
are from the laparoscopy last Sunday. This is the operation that robbed my of the chance to be a mother naturally. I should hate them all, but I really really don't. This quote struck a chord 'behind every scar, there is an untold story of survival'.

GI problems with Sjögren's - how to cope?
My old chicken pox
scars
are itchy and I seem to have new pitting on my forehead. None of this is particularly terrible of course but the discomfort in my skin and mild nausea is making me feel uncertain that it's a price worth paying?

Have recently received CT scan results and do not understand them
Hi, I am new to this Forum and sm wondering if anyone can help from their own experience. My recent CT scan reads, "Both lungs are diffusely emphysematous. There is apical lung fibrosis. There is small volume mediastinal lymphadenopathy." Dr described Emphysema as "significant". I am a 54 year old female

The Coil weight gain side effect..
I know I can't get the best of everything but I have very low confidence as it is, so to add in the weight gain and the
scars
on my tummy it's proving quite difficult for me.

3rd degree tear - future delivery?
Hi! I delivered my daughter in February this year by assisted (ventouse) vaginal delivery. I got a 3rd degree tear and the consultant said that For future deliveries I would be offered the option of a caesarean. my recovery from the tear was pretty slow and difficult - obviously I really want to avoid

Why I self harm
Most of that was in my mind or were
scars
from earlier attacks. For about 10 years I had a scab on my face which I picked at. It never healed. This has caused a hole in my skin and a permanent raised area of skin. However I realise it could have been worse.

Defeating Worry, Anxiety, and Depression
A lot of
scars
from my dad's emotional abuse. I was very popular in high school, always was kind to everyone, but deep down I was forcing a smile on my face almost daily. I taught for 34 years, and retired three years ago.

Cutting
I need to stop because since it's warm here, I want to wear shorts but sometimes you can see the
scars
. I haven't cut a lot, but I just want the thoughts to go away. I've been feeling really alone lately and I use it as a way of punishment of myself for my problems. My mom can never find out.

went for consultation
hi, so I went for a consultation today and found out I am 7 weeks pregnant. I have had a medical abortion before and it was so traumatic. I was advised to have a surgical abortion this time but I'm so scared of hospitals and I don't like the sound of the procedure. Has anyone had a surgical abortion

Is this a dissolvable stitch?
I noticed yesterday a small little yellow/grey hard "thing" on one of my incisions (which are more like
scars
now to be fair). I thought it was a funny little scab, and so gently pulled it off. However, it seems to have pulled what looks like a stitch with it and left a little opening in the scar.

5 months post op!
Well today I had my vac therapy removed, my last wound opening is now under 1cm and I am trying out a normal dressing!! Feels very strange not carrying my battery pack around. Next stop will be to finally see my new scarred stomach -it has been covered up now for 5 months!! Plus they removed my belly

Peritoneal stripping
Hey! So I got diagnosed in February, and since then, nothing has worked for me, I'm still in constant pain and was admitted to hospital last week. My next step is a "peritoneal stripping" I've been online to see what this procedure is, and what it consists of, and I haven't found too much information

Things that "cause" heart disease
His chest was an embroidery of surgery
scars
, bless him. The gentleman in the bed opposite was fairly short, not as slim but certainly not overweight, and he was recovering from a bypass operation. He'd only been diagnosed fairly recently. I'd say that he, too, was in his mid fifties.

Virus and FND
She was told that these were the
scars
left from a brain virus and that was probably what was causing conditions similar to ours. Makes you think doesn't it that perhaps there is/has been a virus in our brains that has cleared up but left scaring. Wish someone would investigate that possibility.
