Nearly a year on from surgery I notice a bulge just below breastbone ,just under middle of my " rooftop " scar .Anyone else got this ?
I had a trans hiatial op leaving a a scar just under my rib cage . The bulge is in the middle and I presume it's where the new oespageous meets the pulled up remainder of stomach . It's something I've only just noticed and I'm really conscious of it and can feel it if I don't sit completely straight

Lump removal
Had two lumps removed yesterday under local anesthetic, both on my right ribs. The surgeon was great, he was American and went through everything with me, before and afterwards. I have had a few of these removed previously and was told they are lipomas, I asked the doctor if they could be Dercums disease

For Zanna, advice please.
Hi Zanna, have found a reputable sports massage therapist and my appt is Tuesday evening. The treatment will be gentle but what I was wondering was, if muscles are relaxed as a result of the massage, could this be counterproductive in respect of say, spondylolisthesis, where the muscles are tight and

MRI results help?
Just received my MRI results, have not seen the dr yet. I'm in so much pain and have no idea what this report says. Any help with it would be appreciated. I was told to wait to make any appointments until my regular doctor could read the results, but she can sometimes take up to two weeks to get to things

Endo excision
So my Dr says the pain I'm in is BC of 3 cm endo mass just below the skin. I'm having surgery this week. Scared!!! I've had 3 cesarean sections and have an abundance of scar tissue. She says I have a rare form of endo. Anyone else have this and how have you coped. TIA!

Has anyone been diagnosed with lung scarring (fibrosis) from tuberculosis? Dr thinks this is what I have.
Do the scars (and thus lung function) stay stable if TB is inactive? Am scheduled for biopsy next week....Thanks everyone.

She had the operation 3 months ago.She still can't go to the hairdressers as it's sore or risk any hair colour or perming, how long should she wait? How can she best treat the scar? Many thanks, Karen

Confused? Not pregnancy related
Hi ladies, wanted some advice, just come across something which leads me to believe my partner has lied to me about his past. Just come across a receipt for an abortion clinic dated 2 years before we met with a girls name on it. He claimed before they were only friends although she wanted more & although

Lap scars, are they meant to be small?
Iv just read a post about lap scars saying they are small and can be confused for chicken poc scars, mine are an inch long, thick and red with a lumpy bit at one end. I'd been told before they looked weird for lap scars but now I'm really confused? Why are mine so huge? Also a 1/4 of my stomach is numb

Colloidal silica
A big thank you to all, especially those who have discussed Quinoric and colloidal silica before. I have had a lot of auto-immune symptoms (Check my activity profile if interested) and these have resolved for now through a mostly paleo diet. The one remaining problem I have is bipolar disorder. For this

My Hemithyroidectomy is on the 10th March!
Hi there, Just to say that my hemi is booked for the 10th March. Apparently they will cut all the way across my neck as they feel that a symmetrical line doesn't attract the eye and look aesthetically better than a one sided scar. Is this what others have found ? Any top tips that I may not think
