he has suffered from night terrors and one night I awoke to find his hands around my throat. he is normally placid but night terrors continue.

hub has just had a letter saying after overnt slp mon he has osa with an oxygen desat dip rate of 11 per hour. had 2 yrs of hell, no help.

Oh my goodness and I thought he snoring was bad! I think you need to insist on some help. Perhaps you could call the BLF helpline (Click on the red balloon in the corner) - they might be able to help advise where you should go for help. But you need it. My youngest daughter had night terrors for about a year - it must be terrifying for you with a grown man. Good Luck TAD xx
Oh dear, indeed get help.
My wife, who has bipolar, suffers with terrors, night or day. they are so vivid that she takes them as real. I have bad dreams somtimes and find them very vivid, but I can say that it was a bad dream. But people with terrors are really poor people. a mental health assessment may be needed. My wife takes medication, but she still suffers from these terrors. There's no one to comfort her when this happens because they are so vivid.
Oh I do hope you get some sort of assessment.
