Hello everyone I need your help, I was diagnosed seven months ago with respiratory airway dysfunction syndrome and chemical induce asthma after a car accident and smoke fumes inhalation. I have persistent shortness of breath quite severe. I tried steroids but my body is allergic tot it I can't take them, I tried cromolyn it is not helping, I have a lot of sputum, but no wheezing. I literally feel suffocating all the time I have been to doctors and they have nothing for me except the steroids and I have tried everything I don't know what to do I am 45 male, I have 3 kids , I can't work anymore. I use the albuterol but t it does only help a little and I use it every day . Is it bad to use it every day I have no other options any advice I appreciate, is it normal to be short of breath all the time?

Sorry I cannot help much, but the only thing I can suggest is tai chi breathing, you will probably find it in Google. Good luckLuckily I'm fine with steroids,
I can relate because I was exposed to fumes from a floor sealant for only a few minutes. Never been the same since. I do find breathing exercises help and calm me. Ginger helps open my airways. There were 2 case studies in the UK where Vit D3 reversed 2 cases. The person took only 2,000 in over a year and it resolved. It did help me some and improved my mood. Ginger root does have bronchodilator effects.
